Oh my goodness, Michelle and her entire team were absolutely the best! Michelle is such an absolute pleasure to work with and made everything so easy. Design meetings were so fun and she asked great questions and really understood what were looking for, even when we could not fully articulate it at first. She pulled up helpful example photos live and really crafted the most beautiful artistic vision. In our final design meeting, she created real example arrangements so we could see how things would look in terms of volume and with the different vase options, which was so helpful. She has a fantastic stock of different styles of vases and candles/candle holders, and it was easy to pick something beautiful. We also appreciated her design insight on candles and were really happy with the candles and arrangements we selected. We originally planned on getting married outdoors and attaching flowers to a gazebo, but it rained day-of, and Michelle gets absolute bonus points for rearranging plans at the last moment! She went to see the indoor arch option that was already available at the venue and understood we wouldn't like it, and she went out of her way to rent a beautiful arch that meshed with our artistic vision - and we LOVED it! The ceremony floral artistry was unique and so beautiful and we were so happy with how it turned out. Michelle and her team were so kind and caring and easy to work with day-of as well, we were so appreciative and happy to have them there. The personal items were beyond incredible! I loved my bouquet so much and wish I could have kept it forever, it was everything I had dreamed of and more! My husband chose the full lapel boutonniere and it turned out fantastic and looked so good! He thought it was beautiful, cool, and different, and provided visual interest. We also appreciated Michelle's attention to detail with the designs and their sizes; I am a petite woman and she crafted a bouquet that was the perfect size and not overwhelming. Closer to the wedding, tariffs were introduced, and we really appreciated Michelle's transparency and up-front communication about the different options. She provided a high degree of flexibility depending on comfort level, and it made a potentially stressful situation much easier. We were really happy with the choices she provided us. All in all, we are SO happy we chose Something's Blooming! Our guests continue to rave about the gorgeous floral designs and we are over the moon with how they turned out. Thank you so much Michelle!

I cannot recommend Flowers by Melis enough - she is truly one of my absolute favorite florists to work with! As a planner who specializes in weird, niche, nerdy, and themed weddings, it’s so important for me to collaborate with vendors who are not only talented, but also open-minded and creative—and Melissa is exactly that. She consistently goes above and beyond to bring unique visions to life, no matter how out-of-the-box the concept may be. And even if the wedding/event is more traditional, she will create absolutely stunning arrangements! She’s incredibly kind, collaborative, and genuinely cares about both her clients and her vendor partners. On top of that, her work is absolutely stunning; every arrangement is thoughtful, intentional, and beautifully executed. One of the things I appreciate most is how she works with a variety of budgets. Her pricing is fair and accessible, and she’s amazing at meeting clients where they’re at while still offering thoughtful recommendations to maximize their vision. She’s also a fantastic communicator and just an all-around joy to work with. If any issues come up, she handles them with professionalism and care, always doing everything she can to make it right. Akiko's Floral Design
Rating: 5.0 (15 reviews)
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Panorama City, CA

I am a home-based florist in Rancho Palos Verdes, California who creates everything from wonderful personal bouquets to elaborate wedding designs. My core business belief is to develop a personal relationship with each of my customers, so that I can provide the highest-quality floral arrangements that fit within my customer's budget.

Awarded Best of Zola
Akiko has been creating beautiful floral arrangements for my husband’s family for years. She was the florist behind every bouquet my late father-in-law gave my mother-in-law—whether it was for anniversaries, birthdays, or simply because. During our years of dating, my (now) husband also surprised me with countless gorgeous arrangements from Akiko. Because of the special place her flowers have held in our lives, there was never a question about who we wanted to create the florals for our wedding. From the very beginning, Akiko was an absolute dream to work with. She communicated clearly throughout the entire process, helped guide me on which flowers and greenery would best bring my vision to life, and even recommended alternatives that would hold up beautifully in the July heat. I gave her very minimal inspiration, yet she somehow understood exactly what I envisioned. She created the most stunning ceremony bouquet, gorgeous reception florals, and even made a boutonnière for my late father-in-law, whose blazer we displayed on a reserved seat in his honor during our reception. That thoughtful detail meant so much to our family. Everything was delivered right on time and was absolutely perfect. My bridal bouquet stayed beautiful through the two-hour drive from Torrance to Santa Barbara, looked flawless throughout the entire day, and continued to look incredible for several days after our ceremony. Our reception flowers added the perfect pop of color and tied all of our décor together in a way that exceeded every expectation. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but having Akiko as one of our vendors made everything feel effortless. Her talent, professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail are truly unmatched. We are beyond grateful for everything she created for us, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you, Akiko, for creating flowers that have been part of our family’s most cherished memories for years—and for making our wedding day even more beautiful than we ever imagined.

Sam did the flowers for our wedding in May. When I reached out, I gave him a budget and a couple things I wanted, but I wasn't sure what exactly I needed for a whole wedding. Sam created a list of everything that was needed for a wedding that fit within my budget. He always answered any questions I had quickly. When I saw everything on the wedding day, it looked 100x better than I expected. He set everything up so well and was friendly and picked really beautiful flowers.; the venue looked amazing with the added florals. I feel like everything I would have wanted decorated was covered with the plan he made. If I throw a huge party again and need flowers, I would definitely hire Sam again!

Flowers By Laurel

My passion for flowers stems back to my childhood, brought me to London, and has continued to follow me to Los Angeles for the past 30 years. I'm one of the lucky few who wakes up every morning and simply love what I do.

If you're looking to make all of your floral dreams come true, hire Flowers by Laurel. My wedding guests raved about how gorgeous our flowers were - and they were right! I had requested peonies in the bridal bouquet - they are my favorite flower - but our florists warned that wasn't likely to happen as peonies wouldn't be in season. On my wedding day, Lavorka hand-delivered the bridal bouquet and guess what was included?? PEONIES!! It was such a sweet and special surprise. They truly went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. Flowers by Laurel was as one the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process!

Royal Bee is a unique, full service, floral design, and event styling studio, catering to the unconventional client that want to tell their story through their event. We are based in Los Angeles, but also service all surrounding areas, and love to travel beyond SoCal. We are also great communicators, and love working with out-of-state clients who are planning a destination wedding/event in sunny Southern California. Our goal is to give you the Pintrest-worthy wedding with the top-shelf flowers that you deserve, while leaving you feeling great about your investment, because through us, you are helping the environment too! click here for more info on how we help the earth.

It was such a magical journey working with Jess and Royal Bee for my wedding. As someone who came into the wedding process knowing nothing about florals, she helped bring a vision to life, that I wouldn’t have even have been able to describe. In terms of her work, the pictures and visuals on her website and social media pages speak for themselves. She is truly an expert in her field and can bring anything imaginable (involving florals) to life. She isn’t afraid to think outside the box, or, stay within a classic and timeless realm. For our wedding specifically, I chose an all white color palette, though almost changed my mind after seeing some of her work with bright colors. Knowing that I was a visual learner, she sent me names and pictures of so many flowers to choose from, after learning more about what I liked. She knew exactly which questions to ask and valued my opinions. She even suggested bringing in a specific type of pottery to honor my now-husband’s heritage. I opted to order my own pottery and when I accidentally ordered the wrong size, she went out of her way to figure out a solution to exchange them. I feel as though along the process of my wedding I not only hired a vendor, but made a friend. Jess was ALWAYS ready to lend an ear to either a new idea I had or answer a question I thought of. She was very prompt in her communication and happy to help. Overall, if you are considering a florist for any event, Royal Bee is a no-brainer. I have done your homework for you by meeting with and comparing multiple floral companies and I would choose Jess time and time again. It is rare to find someone who you can genuinely tell loves what they do, but Jess is one of these rare gems. Above-and-beyond service. Quality product. Endless creativity.

Hi there! I’m Isabel — owner and lead designer at Your Wedding Florist ✦. My love for flowers began at age five, wandering through my grandmother’s garden and admiring every bloom. Designing florals today feels like a lifelong dream fulfilled and a meaningful way to stay connected to her. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share that passion with you and to create elegant, thoughtfully crafted florals for your wedding day.

I am extremely happy with how the florals turned out for our wedding this past June! I imagined beautiful, colorful wildflower bouquets and arrangements and Isabel definitely delivered. From my inspo pics and a short description of what I wanted, Isabel was able to curate and send me a visual palette of the flowers and colors she was going to incorporate into the arrangements. They were all perfect choices and looked amazing the day of. I also specifically wanted green bud vases for the table settings and she ordered the cutest set. All of my guests loved them. I would definitely recommend booking Isabel for your wedding!

Kira is an artist first and foremost. My vision was earthy/midsommar and Kira delivered. She was so great with working in my budget which is so scary when it comes to flowers. The flowers came out so beautifully. I made everything white and ivory and told her I was leaning on her for all the color and she made it happen. I cried when I saw my Chuppah for the first time. The centerpieces were so beautiful people were fighting to take them home. Thank you so much Kira. I absolutely LOVED everything you made for my wedding

Absolutely amazing experience with Kara Z Floral Design! The flowers were incredibly fresh, beautifully arranged, and even more stunning than I expected. The florist paid great attention to detail and clearly has a true talent for design. The whole process was smooth, professional, and pleasant. My arrangement received so many compliments and truly made the occasion special. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for gorgeous flowers and excellent service!

Gabrielle's work was lovely. She was very good at understanding the style I had in mind for my flowers, which was relatively minimal but fresh. On top of that, the LA wildfires hit our venue 10 days before my event and we had to find an entirely new venue with an entirely new look. Gabrielle was able to adjust the new design to fit the new location. Looking back at my wedding photos, the florals bring a smile to my face.

Meg provided the flowers for our wedding last month and they were absolute stunners. From the very beginning, Meg was receptive and delightful to work with. We wanted vibrant colors, and arrangements that evoked still life art pieces. For our arch we wanted something that was bright, not overly manicured, and abundant with flowers. Above all, we wanted floral arrangements that complimented/enhanced the beauty of our wedding venue. We had a consultation session where we shared general ideas and descriptions of our vision for the wedding, along with any pinterest pictures we had saved. In her proposal Meg captured a lot of our vision and provided us a comprehensive cost breakdown for each item that we wanted. We were also able to visit her studio to take a look at vases, candles, and other items to accompany our arrangements. We also scheduled a mock-up consultation to get an idea of what the centerpiece arrangements would look like. When I saw the mock centerpiece for the first time, I was floored. She perfectly captured the vision and it truly looked like a piece of art. I distinctly remember her asking if I had any feedback of things I liked, disliked, or would like to change, and I told her that it was perfect as is. For the day of the wedding, all of the flowers were a dream come true and she perfectly captured what we wanted. I could not help but stare at the arch throughout parts of my own ceremony because it was so mesmerizing and beautiful! As for my and my spouse's bouquets, we were in love with how they complimented one another and also captured the full, vibrant color scheme we sought in our florals. So many of our guests were also enamored with the arch and the centerpieces - in fact, most, if not all, of the centerpieces were taken home by our guests. I wish I was able to take a centerpiece home but given that we were flying out for our honeymoon, it meant the world to know that the flowers were so well loved and appreciated by our guests. Throughout this entire experience Meg was super helpful, honest, insightful, and kind. We feel so lucky to have worked with her. She really made our wedding such a beautiful experience (literally and figuratively)!

I’m Janice Pearson, Founder and Creative Director of Pearson Floral Designs, a Los Angeles–based wedding florist specializing in custom, design-driven wedding flowers. My background in cinematography taught me how color, composition, and detail shape emotion and memory—principles I bring to every floral design. I create intentional florals for wedding ceremonies and receptions that feel personal, refined, and emotionally resonant. Each event is approached thoughtfully, with designs tailored to the couple, the venue, and the experience they want their guests to remember.

Working with Janice was an absolute pleasure. From the first interaction, she was highly responsive, transparent in communication, and attentive to understanding the vision. The floral arrangements created showed great attention to detail and creative flair. She genuinely listened to the preferences and carefully handled every detail. It was obvious she truly cares about her clients. We are very thankful to Janice for everything.
