We met seven years ago in high school and have been together for the last three. At Cold River Photography, we believe that every image has a story to tell. We are a passionate team of photographers who are dedicated to capturing and preserving those unique moments that make life so beautiful. I’m Michelle, a Portland, Maine based wedding and couples photographer. I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, spent my college years and 20s in Boston, moved to New York City with my husband and now have found my way back to New England. I worked for eight years in event planning before going full-time with my photography business. I’m grateful for those eight years because they taught me so much that I’ve carried into managing my own small business. Beyond photography, I am an avid reader, love long bike rides, prefer the Monday crosswords, enjoy woodsy day hikes, and am always finding the nearest bookstore when we travel.

We're a married (to each other) pair of photographers in Portland, Maine - Will and Lucia are our names. We've been shooting weddings together for almost 20 years, and we've got a showroom where you can browse dozens of albums, or an online gallery of hundreds of weddings. Will's images have stronger direction and more impactful lighting, and Lucia's images are softer in feeling and capture candid moments.
