Defiance Hall is a 10,000 sf, authentically restored historic building with reaching mountain views built in 1820. We focus our venue on weddings for up to 125 guests, allowing the event to flow inside and outside the property with arrival cocktail receptions on our outdoor terrace & creekside area or inside in a welcoming space. Dining typically takes place in the main hall, while wedding vows, dancing, and afterparties are held upstairs in The Loft. We offer a full suite of amenities, including liquor and commercial kitchen licenses. We offer in-house or third-party catering. We are a small family farm located in Central New York. We have created several spaces on our farm for ceremonies, and a very nice, intimate space for a reception. We have a licensed kitchen, therefore we can cater your wedding, or you can hire an outside caterer. We are working farm, and as such need to limit the number of seated guests to 30 or fewer, 50 or fewer for an hours d’oeuvres only reception. Booking our venue also includes officiant services. You and your guests will enjoy beautiful views of the Grass River along with all property amenities, including extended set-up and take-down time. We are the premier Northern New York venue for chic events with a fun and relaxed vibe. Every rental includes full access to the ENTIRE property from Thursday evening through Sunday morning. Allowing for a comfortable amount of time to set-up, decorate and enjoy.
