In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Bloom Lake Barn is a freshly renovated wedding and event venue located in Shafer, Minnesota near the gorgeous St. Croix River. Set in the picturesque St. Croix valley, Bloom Lake Barn provides that "out of the way" country charm a short 40-mile drive from the Twin Cities. 1924 tutor style granite and slate roof house next to the Mississippi River. Its hosts a tiny home free of charge with an event booking for use of the bride and groom to stay at after the ceremony. It hosts up to 75 guests. Parking is next door at St. Cloud State. The porch can be used in bad weather. This is considered a micro wedding. 2-3 hours max. In and out. No reception. Just the ceremony. If the groom bride want to book the 4 rooms over night they need to book it through Airbnb or pay out of pocket. Again, this is not a wedding reception, only a wedding ceremony and accommodations for up to 10 can stay. Room D holds 2 guests. Room C is the family suite 4 guests. Room B holds 2 and the cabin holds 2.
