Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Additional event staff required
  • On-site parking not available
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Union Depot for our wedding. The venue manager was clear, communicative, and flexible throughout the planning process. She helped us with deadlines, floor plan adjustments, parking validations, access to getting-ready spaces, and being on-site the day of to support with our wedding coordinator. We also appreciated how affordable the venue and getting ready spaces cost for our budget. The venue itself was beautiful, and it was a relief to do a final walkthrough and drop off decorations the day before the event. The Waiting Room setup with digital signage, pipe and drape made it easy for guests to know where to go, and Union Depot offered stunning indoor and outdoor photo options, which was especially important given the unpredictability of the weather conditions. We can’t wait to visit Union Depot in the future to hop on the train/bus and reminisce on our wedding day there.

In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Hope Glen Farm is truly an exceptional wedding venue, and we cannot say enough about the incredible team behind it. From the very beginning, communication with the venue manager, Eryka, was outstanding. She is the definition of professional — organized, responsive, calm under pressure, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Her guidance made the entire planning process feel seamless and stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The grounds are beautifully maintained, offering a romantic, storybook setting that feels both elegant and welcoming. One of the highlights was the stunning treehouse where we stayed on our wedding night — complete with a cozy fireplace, jacuzzi, and full kitchen. It was the perfect, private retreat to unwind and soak in the joy of the day. What truly sets Hope Glen Farm apart is the thoughtful layout of the space. Each area — from the ceremony site to cocktail hour to the reception and dance floor — flows effortlessly into the next. Our guests were able to move comfortably throughout the celebration, and everything felt natural and well-paced. The entire property creates an immersive experience rather than just a single event space. The value for what you receive is unmatched. Being able to bring in our own alcohol saved us thousands of dollars without sacrificing quality, and their catering options were phenomenal. Our guests are still talking about how incredible the food was — which says everything. If you’re looking for a venue that combines natural beauty, flexibility, professionalism, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Hope Glen Farm exceeds every expectation. We would choose it again in a heartbeat. Plus it was only 20 minutes from the airport our out of town guests really loved that.

I thought overall the New Brandon community center was a wonderful venue and the coordinator of events Britain McDonald was very helpful. Communicating was best through email, and I got a much quicker response using email. Your only thing I would say is they need to update their stereo system and their audio visual equipment. In order for us to play music over the speakers, we had to plug our devices into a a older worn input cord, and it was staticky, and the room is a separate area. So the person that was doing our music had to miss out on our ceremony because they were in another room having to hit next or play on their device to get music. So an updated system or updated way of doing it would be awesome!
