Juliane James Place is a wedding venue and vacation rental carved into the middle of the woods in the middle of Minnesota. Weddings are really fun at Juliane James Place. And that makes us really happy. We are an inclusive, welcoming space with a history of diverse ceremonies. Most folks have dogs or love them dearly. We've even had a cat, named Scuttle, on hand for a wedding. It's a space guests can't really imagine until they arrive, that they don't want to leave at the end of the night.

Surrounded by fields and forests, the Braham Event Center is a modern banquet hall with rustic decor on the outside and a modern, open floor plan on the inside. Our main feature is our large window with a view to beautiful birch trees, perfect for ceremonies in addition to receptions. The center can host parties of up to 400 people, with a large lobby and a library which serves as the bridal suite. Our on-site caterer, Kathy’s Kitchen, provides delicious and affordable meals. Kathy's Kitchen specializes in cooking from scratch and we enjoy the chance to customize to fit a price point or a favorite meal or side dish. The Braham Event Center is located one hour north of Minneapolis and St. Paul, just off Highway 65 on the outskirts of Braham, Minnesota, minutes away from Pine City, Rush City, Mora, and Cambridge, and is conveniently located between Duluth and the Twin Cities.

The Braham Event Center was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. Their communication throughout the planning process was very good - they were responsive to our questions and helped us coordinate all the logistics seamlessly. The venue itself is a huge, spacious space with great lighting that provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. They were also incredibly helpful with all the last minute details that come up when planning a wedding. On top of that, the Braham Event Center is a non-profit organization that gives back to the community, and their pricing was very reasonable for the high-quality space they provided. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our marriage.

Quite literally, the sights and sounds of nature envelop you and your guests as you are under a canopy of oak and maple trees. Situated on 32 acres of forests, including a mile of nature trails and wildflower fields, this unique venue exceeds the dreams of the most creative couples looking to throw a party their guests have never experienced. We, the owners Al and Lyndsey, are both retired wedding photographers who understood the mission, create something we never experienced while shooting over 450 weddings.

They catered to our every need and made us feel so well taken care of throughout the entire process. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The landscapes are breathtaking and made for the most beautiful wedding photos. Every corner of the property was picture-perfect! A huge shoutout to Asa, our DJ, who kept the energy up and the dance floor packed all night long. He read the room perfectly and made sure the party never stopped. We even stayed an extra day to soak in the peaceful surroundings and were lucky enough to see deer, swans, eagles—and even a bear! We are passionate about bringing you amazing service at a home town rate! We grew up here in Saint Croix Falls and love the local area near the park and river. Our venue offers vast gardens for all times of year. There are thousands of gorgeous perennials and annuals to bring excitement to your big day. There are walking paths and cows grazing in the distant rolling hills. The sunflower fields bloom for about a month in the summer. The outdoor ceremony site offers garden all around and separate seating. The indoor reception space has base draping and lighting and includes tables/chairs/linens/ and decor. We have a huge selection of centerpieces and other useful decor included in every rental. Bonus: we also set up and take down whatever you pick from us!
