“We initially went with Sound Originals out of cost consideration and ease of booking because their combined photo/video package seemed so much more cost effective than many of the quotes we were getting from individual photographers and videographers. We assumed therefore that the quality might be a bit diminished by comparison, but were quite pleasantly surprised to discover that this was not the case! We are beyond pleased with the coverage they provided of our wedding and reception, and would certainly recommend Sound Originals to anyone seeking photo/video of their big day. Our team on the day of the wedding were absolute rock stars. Kate, Trung, and Travis all were incredibly friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond in ensuring we had excellent photos and video--both candids and plandids. We're so grateful to each of them for their excellent work! If you're considering booking Sound Originals, there is one practical consideration we might offer, however: Their business model seems streamlined to provide a standardized product and level of quality to many clients at once by contracting with local photographers and videographers--this is great for ensuring that clients know what to expect visually and that the company has backup photographers ready in case any members of the assigned team can't make it, but this also seems to come at the cost of personal touch when communicating with the company and the photo/video team. Our communications with them were always through a portal on their website and often felt rather impersonal. This was a trade off we were perfectly fine with, given the very affordable price we paid for our package and the piece of mind in knowing that even if our lead photographer got sick or something, someone else would be there to fill in. If you, however, require a high level of customization or personal touch and want to cultivate a close relationship with your photographer, then you may want to hire a photographer/team directly.”

“Tracy & Kyle are fantastic artists and teammates! “Devyn was our photographer for our engagement photos in February 2022 and for our wedding in October 2022. We had the absolute best experience with her during both sessions. I was so overwhelmed when searching for a photographer, I didn’t know much about it and there are so many options out there. The first thing that caught our eye was her editing style. The coloring wasn't washed out or super saturated like other photographers editing I'd seen. Her editing was simple, yet captivating. “Maurissa was without a doubt the BEST DECISION we made for our wedding day! I literally cannot say enough good things to do her and her services justice. Even our whole wedding party and family that interacted with Maurissa throughout wedding day have also shared how awesome she was. She was fantastic from the moment we had our first introduction – she was so communicative and reassuring and worked with us to make sure we knew everything about Mind of Mo services prior to booking. That first impression is what helped us make our choice with booking her, and boy-oh-boy did she follow-through more than we could have imagined! Maurissa was also extremely patient with me - as a Type A Bride, I had sent her a lengthy list of desired photos prior to wedding day. I joked that it was a lot and she made me feel like it was totally normal. I know now that I never had to do this because her vision was magical - our favorite and featured photo is from our Sneak Peeks and was all her! What you want in a photographer is not only someone who will capture amazing photos, but also someone who will guide you through your wedding day. This is the person you will have the most interaction with all day long. Maurissa made the day fun, breezy, and even when we did have those anticipated mishaps occur (we knew there’d be at least one) she swooped in and literally saved the day. I am not being dramatic – my false eyelashes fell off not once but TWICE. The first time was right before my first look with my husband which caused a delay in our Timeline, and Maurissa flawlessly pivoted to make sure we stayed on track with time while they were re-glued onto my face. Then the second time the eyelashes came off, it was Maurissa herself who stepped up to the plate to make sure those babies were glued on right before I walked down the aisle. In this moment of panic for me, Maurissa had a confidence and calm demeanor that quickly put me at ease (and those eyelashes didn’t move again the whole night). On top of everything, our wedding was also on the far East side of Michigan, and Maurissa is based in Minnesota. We are extremely thankful that her services were offered at this distance! Our Sneak Peek photos are STUNNING and we are so excited to see the rest of them when they are ready!”

“WOW, where do I begin. Kasey and Tyler are masters at what they do! From two different engagement sessions to our wedding day, they knew exactly how to get the "perfect shot". Our wedding day came with a small amount of "conveniently timed" rain (during our first look and wedding party photos!), and they knew exactly how to work with what we had (a tall tree to hide under and an umbrella..). The attached photo was taken during a downpour rain and it STILL looks beautiful!! They were incredibly organized and all photos were pre-planned so they had a set plan in order to avoid wasting time. They listened to what my husband and I wanted, and made sure we were taking care of ourselves (eh-hem, reminding us to eat multiple times throughout the day..). They were so easy going but didn't have a problem putting their foot down if a random family member or other vendor were "problematic" (per the brides request!!).
