“If you gave me a million characters in this text box I still wouldn't be able to express just how grateful I am to Merida and her team. My husband and I have been together for over two decades and had already spent an enormous amount of time thinking about our wedding over the years, but after coming out as a trans man in 2019, I quickly realized that planning a gay wedding would involve additional challenges I hadn't considered. The thought of reaching out to vendors and getting misgendered as the "bride" over and over was an incredibly anxiety-inducing prospect. I knew we needed help from someone who understood our situation and would ensure we were both treated respectfully by an incredibly cis-heteronormative industry. From the moment I engaged her, about a year before our wedding date, I knew that I'd made the right call. As a member of the community herself, Merida was my biggest advocate and fiercest champion. Her zero-tolerance policy of anyone who showed signs of homo/transphobia weeded out any problematic businesses and in just a few months she was able to book us an almost entirely queer team of vendors, all of whom did a spectacular job on the big day. I've never been so thankful to have someone like her in my corner. Each and every call with Merida was an absolute delight. Not only is she an incredible wedding/event planner, but she is one of the most delightful people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. She is brilliant, thoughtful, and hilarious, putting you instantly at ease. No matter how nerdy or esoteric our ideas, Merida was here for it and helped us bring every little detail to life. Anytime I said the words "I know this is kind of crazy but could we possibly..." she would listen attentively, smile, and reply with "We can do that." Week after week things I thought would be impossible came together and fell perfectly into place. On the day of the event (04/07/24), Merida and her team were like a SpecialOps team, complete with a full arsenal of emergency supplies the likes of which you've never seen. She kept us on schedule but never rushed us, leaving time for spontaneity; for every minor question or concern she had a plan, not one detail was overlooked. The wedding itself was absolutely perfect. I cannot stress this enough. It was PERFECT. It was everything my husband and I had ever dreamed of since we were 15 years old. Thanks to Merida there was not a single thing we had to compromise on for the sake of someone else, there was not a single bad vibe, it was truly the most beautiful, entertaining, and triumphant celebration of queer love any of us had ever experienced. I was genuinely concerned my face would break from smiling with euphoria all day. It's been over a month now and I'm getting emotional all over again just writing this review. I never thought I would be able to be my whole entire self on my wedding day. Thank you, Merida for turning my gay little anime prince dreams into reality. If you're queer, a huge nerd, or just someone who marches to the beat of their own drum, please hire Merida. “cannot put into words how amazing Ramy & his wife Nancy are!! My husband and I just got married on August 10th and we cannot stop talking about how happy we are that we booked Photography by Ramy. From our first meeting with Ramy, we know he was the right choice. Before we even booked, he gave us a timeline for how the day would go and we just felt so comfortable with him and knew he knew what he was doing! An of course the photos of his that we looked at were stunning! I remember getting off our phone call and my then fiance and I were like yep that’s our guy! It wad completely pouring rain the day of our engagement photos, but we had so much fun shooting with Ramy and the photos came out AMAZING, so it didn’t even matter. We got to know Ramy more and by the end it felt like we knew him forever! Leading up to the wedding, we talk through a more detailed timeline with Ramy and he was so helpful in making sure we did it the way we wanted but also that it flowed. Our one big thing was that we wanted to be at cocktail hour for at least half. Immediately he said we would be there for more than that (and he was right!!). On our wedding day, we truly felt like Ramy & Nancy were part of the family. They are the kindest, happiest, and most fun people. Not only did they take beautiful pictures and capture our day so well, but they added to the joy of the day. They made us and our families laugh throughout the day and captured everything we knew we wanted. Their energy is positive and infectious and we loved spending time with them. We never felt rushed around or like we were taking pictures forever. Nancy is also like a fairy godmother in addition to being a great photographer!! She fixed bustled my dress right after pictures, took out my veil, and fixed my bustle numerous times throughout the night. I just can’t say enough about both Ramy & Nancy. “We could not speak more highly of Luvdup DJs! Gemma and her team were amazing throughout the entire process. We needed DJs for three events throughout our wedding festivities. The vibes and music/genres were very unique for each event, but Gemma and the DJs we had for each event knocked it out of the park, far exceeding our expectations (shoutout to Ty, Kelton, and Kevin!). We appreciated how much care and thought was given during the discovery and planning part of the process. Gemma and the DJs took the time to understand our vision and fill in their expertise to whatever degree we wanted, without ever being pushy. This was important to us because for certain events we had a clear and specific vision (pretty much “play this playlist”) and for others we only had a high-level vision of the music/genres. We have to give a special nod to DJ Ty, who was the DJ through the main wedding reception (first dances, speeches, dance party): Ty went above and beyond in all ways. Beyond a superhuman sense of music and DJ’ing, he was humble, helpful, and keenly aware. He anticipated and proactively helped multiple members of the wedding party throughout the evening, and always focused on making it our best day, never drawing unnecessary attention to himself. “We are still buzzing with our wedding at The Lake House Inn! The retro atmosphere with all the modern additions is chef kiss. I was weeping before I even got the dress on due to the views of the bridal suite. It was killed in the bar (those blackberry mules ) and the after-party that was hosted at the fire pit was an event to remember. Less than an hour drive out of Philly and probably you are in a different world.”

“Hiring Kat and her team was easily the best decision I made while wedding planning holy cow! I work at a wedding venue so I kept telling myself I got this I got this and right about 3 months out I was like nope I don’t got this I need to accept the fact I need help. With having relationships with a lot of coordinators it was hard to pick one so I initially went with Evivva since it was too hard to pick a “friendor” and I had not worked with them much but heard nothing but amazing things from brides I talked to. I immediately reached out to Kat and she hopped on the phone with us and got to know us and instantly we clicked and it felt like talking to a friend! Kat was our day of the Sydney helped as the event coordinator and Nikki was our event concierge! Kat held on to our marriage certificate all night, Sydney always had a water bottle on hand for my husband and I and Nikki was busy running around setting everything up for us. We had their A team for sure we felt so laid back lol I was so relaxed people kept asking if I was okay since I was just lounging around and I was like “oh yes I have the best team of people helping I’m just so at peace right now” and it felt so nice to feel 0 stress the day of the wedding after stressing for the months leading up! We loved how the Evivva team made a timeline for family, made us a packing list, and gave all important info in a beautiful shareable PDF link. It made it so easy to access and share with loved ones!! If you are second guessing hiring a day of coordinator, please please do and hire Evivva while you’re at it!!
