At Sherwood Forest Faire, we consider your wedding to be our special event of the day! During the Faire season, more performers will be available, but in the off season we can still help you book entertainment. We are a very warm and cozy venue located in the heart of Historic Downtown Montgomery! Indoors we can hold up to 80 people. For larger parties we set up a tent outside that holds 40 plus the 80 inside to accomodate up to 120 ppl.

We’d be delighted to host your rehearsal dinner or even your wedding celebration here at our hotel! Our largest ballroom is 1,400 sq. ft., comfortably accommodating up to 72 guests with round table seating. It’s a beautiful, intimate space perfect for your special day with natural light. For your out-of-town guests—or local ones who prefer not to drive—we offer discounted room rates. Moondance Weddings and Events is a relaxed and casual space. We are on a 60 acre ranch that has a house, very spacious garage, and lots of outdoor space. The garage, where most couples book, is fully done with air conditioning for those hot Texas days. It is attached to where most ceremonies are held. The concrete walkway and area overlooks the property to make sure your wedding photos are beautiful, nature-filled shots. We can host up to 200 guests, so we are best for small weddings. We are also a raw venue, meaning we only offer the space and nothing else.

This is the story of the Nathaniel Center. More than a building, it is a gift and a blessing to the Kingwood community from Paul and Dr. Victoria Sarvadi. Paul Sarvadi is one of the founders of Insperity. Born of an idea sketched on a napkin in a Kingwood coffee shop, the company, Insperity, grew to be one of the top professional employer organizations in the nation today. With the fruits of that success, the Sarvadi formed The Nathaniel Foundation with the mission of building a better community by promoting the arts, education, business, and family.

The town of Navasota was founded in 1854 and the tracks brought the railroad by 1859. One of the first buildings built here was a hotel, built by Ms. Louisa Loftin. She was quite the ambitious widow for a woman during the late nineteenth century. Conflicting research shows the hotel was either built as early as 1860 or as late as 1876. She soon met and married P. A. Smith and the hotel bore his name. At first, the railroad brought a great number of patrons, but, unfortunately, the Civil War brought the economy of Navasota as well as the success of the hotel, down, after only a few years.
