The Homestead was an amazing venue for our wedding. We looked at 12 others and knew the second we walked in that this was our dream venue. From start to finish the team has been great. Their communication throughout the planning process was incredible - the staff was always responsive and helpful in answering our questions. On the day of the wedding, the beautiful space provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. The staff made sure everything had a nice flow and that all the details were taken care of, allowing us to truly enjoy the moment. The bridal and grooms suite were a dream space to get ready. Oh and let’s not forget the bathroom, yes the bathroom! Our guest had many photoshoots in there! From the tray passed drinks/food and the service throughout dinner the staff was truly amazing. Alexis has done a WONDERFUL job with this venue. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to celebrate our marriage. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect spot.

Built for the Richard S. Willis family in 1854. Hodge Podge Lodge was originally called "Melrose" in memory of an estate owned by his ancestors in Scotland. The home started as a four room, story and a half house with a detached kitchen. Throughout the house, one can trace the outline of the original footprint by noticing the wide plank flooring in the parlor, formal dining room and library. During the civil war era the massive lawn, with huge oak and pecan trees, quickly became a favorite place for many young people in town for picnics and family gatherings. On the day of we were allowed to come as early as 9 AM to start setting up our own centerpieces and any other touches we wanted to do to make the night special for us. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the quality of service and the delicious food. Your Something Old & New! Olde Dobbin Station will provide a unique experience for its clients through the use of old structures built in the early 1900’s, restored to their original look and feel, while adding a vintage touch. The buildings were initially used by oil companies as a “pumping station” and later became a famous place of fellowship for those in the community due to its Artesian Water Well. It became the community “swimming hole” according to many of the locals and remains a historical marker for the community and its residents. Olde Dobbin has recently renovated its final structure and officially has made it into a chapel. The “chapel” was initially used in the late 1800’s as a pump house for the nearby trains' steam.

We only toured The Meekermark and that’s because we knew in our hearts from the very beginning that it was the place for us. After attending one of their open houses and meeting the team, our decision was completely confirmed. The staff was so incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can immediately tell how much they truly care about their couples. Now that we’ve officially gotten married there, I can honestly say I wouldn’t have changed a single thing. The beautiful grounds create such a peaceful and romantic setting, the open-air chapel is absolutely breathtaking, and the barn is simply stunning. Every detail of the venue feels intentional and thoughtfully designed. What stood out the most to me was how accommodating the staff was throughout the entire process. I had many questions (probably more than most!), and they were always quick to respond, patient, and so helpful. That level of communication made the whole planning experience feel smooth and stress-free. If I could do it all over again, I would choose The Meekermark every single time. It made my life so much easier to have certain vendors already included in the package we chose, so I didn't have to stress over having to choose too many outside vendors. The event coordinator, Amanda, was a wedding-day lifesaver! She kept things running smoothly and ran the day in a way that allowed us to enjoy every moment. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and has such an enchanting, fairytale-like charm across the entire property. I also love how the venue is owned and managed by one family. You can easily see how much love and work they put into it all, to make sure these couples have the best wedding possible, and I really appreciate that. The value of the package we chose, definitely met our standards. We had access to the grounds for the entire day of the wedding (9AM-11PM), which was really advantageous, and there was even complimentary valet. The bride and groom both had their own separate quarters, which were very old houses with such ancestral and historic character that I really adored. The food was delicious and better than expected, since most weddings I've been to had very bland and disappointing dishes. The Chef on-site was very kind and helpful during the tasting process. Jose, the property manager, was very generous with his time and was very understanding and communicative with visits, tastings, and vendor schedules. There were a couple of times that there was confusion with contacts and miscommunications over phone calls/texts, but it was quickly figured out. As for the day of the wedding, the weather was highly unpredictable. It started off sunny and then it stormed for a few hours and then it cleared up just in time for the ceremony to still be held outdoors, and then it rained again for hours- shortly after the ceremony. However, Jose reassured me that they were all fully prepared to rearrange for everything to be indoors, if need be. The only qualms I really had with the night was when the food was being served, it got disorganized and confusing, since we didn't want a seating chart but had two entree options- so we tried to give everyone color-coordinating name plates, but it did not seem to workout too well. Everyone eventually got a meal, though. However, my husband and I wanted our dinners to be boxed up, since we were too anxious and excited to eat. We had told our coordinator this, and she said she would tell Jose to make sure it was done, but I guess the word never got back to him and the food was unfortunately thrown away. Similar situation happened with the cake, because we thought we were going to have the top tier saved for the 1 year anniversary tradition, but I think it was all served, which isn't really a big deal to us (I would rather my guests each have a slice of cake). When the wedding was ending after the grand exit, it got really hectic with packing and cleaning, because of the rain and everyone leaving at the same time, but Jose was really kind about us coming back the following day to pick up all the items that were left behind. Overall, the venue is beautiful and definitely worth it's value, all the staff are very friendly and exceptionally accommodating-I highly recommend it. We had a great time and everyone was happy, and I can't wait to go back to the venue for the complimentary, 1st anniversary bed and breakfast they offer!

This venue is beautiful! If you want the reception hall super decorated you will have to splurge and get an outside vendor. We went simple so the centerpieces they had were perfect. The venue is a ranch and just gorgeous for pictures. Night pictures were amazing due to the outside lighting and my awesome photographer. We had a beautiful day of weather so it was perfect day pictures and lighting. My coordinator wasn’t the best and barely knew any details from my meetings I had beforehand the wedding. I think that had she been more organized and attentive there would’ve been less confusion and chaos. Overall we enjoyed ourselves just was let down with the coordinator.

Although you have to make a little bit of a drive depending on where you live, this venue is out of a fairytale, all of my guests loved it. It has both indoor and outdoor amenities, which are absolutely gorgeous! It even has a pond that your guest can fish in, it was a big hit at my wedding. Doreen, the venue owner/planner, is an outstanding person! She is very flexible and responsive, and will always try to meet your budget while giving you your dream day! I had an all inclusive package that took all the stress of finding vendors off my shoulders, they were all amazing at what they did and really made my day a one in a life-time experience. We celebrated our vintage goth inspired wedding at The Atrium back in October 2023 and couldn’t have been happier with the experience, atmosphere, and pricing. The venue’s floor to ceiling windows added beautiful natural light for the cocktail hour and beautiful reflections for the reception. We went with black chairs and table cloths to go with our theme (provided and setup by the venue). Arianna was absolutely amazing in helping me with timelines, setups, ideas, and organization with only 4 months to plan. What I loved most about The Atrium was that we were able to decorate the venue ourselves instead of using specified vendors. I was allowed to setup bistro lights in the venue to give it a more intimate feel. I also really liked that we had so much space - we had a dedicated room and section for the buffet, cake and desserts, bar, another room for the photo booth and quiet area, bridal suite, and grooms area. We had room for over 150 guests. 5 stars for service, atmosphere, and experience! Will definitely be hosting another an event here soon!
