Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.

Open Farmhouse is located on 300 acres of protected land in Redding, Connecticut. Just an hour and a half drive from New York City, it’s easily accessible by car or short shuttle from metro north. As part of a working farm, guests experience farm fresh produce, bucolic views and engagement with the land. Built in 1840, the historic Federal Style house sits at the center of the farm, with sweeping views of the surrounding fields and forests. Restored true to its era, it’s a grand yet inviting space for gatherings of 10 to 50 people. Five private bedrooms provide a good night’s sleep, with simple furnishings and comfortable mattresses. Three shared bathrooms allow everyone to get ready for the day. All linens and towels provided. A small stage, built on the 3rd floor in 1870, was identified as the “Dramatic Hall.” This emblematic building had been abandoned for about 20 years and fallen into disrepair until 2012, a complete renovation took place restoring the 1870-era theater. The Mill Neck Manor, a majestic Tudor Revival mansion, is set on an 86-acre estate overlooking the Long Island Sound. The Manor is a 2-story residence with over 34 family rooms, 16 bathrooms, including numerous guest and service rooms. Rusticated Westchester granite blocks trimmed in limestone cover the exterior. The solid oak doorway reported to be between 400 and 500 years old is studded with iron details and unusual hardware made by Samuel Yellin.
