“When planning for our June wedding in Mendocino, we knew we had to get the perfect photographer, someone who could really capture the beauty of the coast and all of the vibrant colors that come along with it. After viewing tons of portfolios, Apollo's work really stood out from the rest. We loved everything we saw, from their ability to capture motion, their framing, to their vivid presentation of colors. We immediately hopped on a call with Liv, and she was super clear and up front about the whole process, which was very helpful for a couple like us who have never hired a professional photographer before.
Many months before the wedding, we worked with Andra for our engagement shoot and it couldn't have gone better! Both my fiance and I are not used to being in front of the camera, so we were definitely anxious about the whole ordeal, but Andra assuaged our fears instantly. She led us around Buena Vista park and picked out the best locations with the most magical lighting like a hawk. After feeling how comfortable we were with Andra taking our photos and seeing how beautiful they came out, we were both so much more confident and excited about our wedding to come.
For our wedding weekend, Andra came up to Mendocino and captured both our Chinese tea ceremony/wedding games and the wedding itself. Andra was super punctual and always at the right place at the right time. She was always where the action was, even getting a photo of my fiance catching a random bird that flew into the house! On the day of the wedding itself, Andra and her team made both the bridal party and groom's party feel comfortable, and took some of the most breathtaking shots of us on the coast. After the ceremony, she was able to get everything we wanted: candid shots of pure happiness, photos with various permutations of family and friends, and moments on the dance floor after dinner, where Andra's photos serve as a more accurate record of events than our own memories.
Earlier than expected, we got an email with some teasers and we were amazed! We showed them to our friends and family and they were equally blown away with how they turned out. It definitely left us super excited for the full album!
Overall working with Andra and the team was fantastic. Great communication, no logistical overhead, fun and compassionate team, and beautiful memories captured perfectly. Apollo really has the best wedding photographers in the Bay Area, and we are so glad we were able to have them come up to Mendocino to take our photos. The moments Andra and the team captured for us will live with us forever. Every time we see them, we can't help but to smile!”
