From the very beginning, the event manager Ashley was incredibly punctual, thorough, and informative in her communication with us. She always checked in to make sure everything was going as planned and that we had everything we needed. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and quite large, providing plenty of space for our wedding celebration. Ashley and her team did a wonderful job ensuring our special day was perfect from start to finish. We are so grateful for their professionalism and attention to detail. Over the years, we've enjoyed sharing our farm with our friends and family for their uniquely beautiful weddings. Seeing our extraordinary aerie from their perspective reminded us to take in how special it is, and it inspired us to redesign and renovate a former greenhouse. We’ve created a belvedere of sorts with walls of windows that make a feature of our wondrous view of the Shenandoah Valley.

“Showalter’s was one of two venues on our short list, and we’re very glad we decided to go with them. We wanted a mountain view during the ceremony and the terrace was absolutely perfect. The greenhouse is gorgeous and looks amazing both in person and in photographs and was the perfect backdrop. We served cider and apple cider donuts and our guests loved both. It felt so unique and special! Working with everyone at the venue was incredibly easy, and they were so kind and welcoming to us and felt like they really wanted to make sure our day went well. We booked all of the AirBnBs on the property and would definitely recommend doing so. The “bridal” suite off of the Greenhouse was great for staging and getting a moment away during the wedding, having the extra space for actually getting ready was a very good choice (especially with larger wedding parties and lots of people doing hair and makeup). We also stayed in one of the AirBnBs the night before and afterwards, and being on the property was incredibly convenient as hotels in Harrisonburg are a bit of a hike. The AirBnBs were cute and worked great for our purposes! We stayed in one of the AirBnBs through to the Monday after our Saturday wedding which was great and made it so that we didn’t have to rush getting everything out the morning after the wedding. “We were married at Cloverdale Barn this past October and to say that it was the most perfect day would truly be an understatement!! We just received our pictures back this past week and were reminded again of our amazing day. The barn, field, views, stone walls, wooden doors, lights hanging everywhere all provided gorgeous backdrops for our photos. And yet, the place held the simple charm that we longed for, the reasonable price that we could afford, and indoor/outdoor space to cater a meal, play games, have the ceremony, and more! The venue was everything we truly hoped for but more than that, Claire was beyond helpful, attentive, caring, and treated us like we were the only couple getting married there...even though we know that’s not the case! Planning our entire wedding was simplified with Claire’s guidance and help. She was very professional and yet so helpful and accommodating to our needs. So, look no further...Cloverdale Barn is perfection. We won’t be getting married again!! ;) But if we ever need a venue for any other celebration or party, I know where I’m going to first! Thank you Cloverdale Barn for a wedding beyond our wildest dreams!”

“We loved having our wedding at Fox Meadow Barn at Cloverdale Farm. The venue provides an excellent rustic yet modern backdrop for a wedding. Dixie, the venue coordinator, was extremely efficient, clear, and helpful in her communication throughout the planning process, providing guidance that helped us feel stress-free leading up to our big day. The barn has a great selection of decor that we were able to use to enhance our wedding aesthetic. The space itself is perfect for both the ceremony and reception, with beautiful scenic views. We were able to just have the place to ourselves for the day, and the day before for set up, and it felt so nice to be able to just choose our own vendors/bartenders/etc. and not be confined to preselected ones. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and are so appreciative of Dixie's expertise and the beautiful barn setting Fox Meadow provides.”
