Chester County History Center is an exceptional and unique historic wedding venue located in the heart of downtown West Chester, PA. Mr. Renner made the decision to keep the original industrial scale for weighing wool, which you can still see inside our front foyer. Our first batch of Manayunk Brewing Company beer was tapped on October 17, 1996. Since then, we have brewed more than 600 different varieties of beers, and have been selling these sought-after styles all around Philadelphia and New Jersey. Our brewers continue to explore new takes on classic styles, especially when it comes to sour ales and India Pale Ales. You will no doubt see our delivery truck bringing goods to happy customers throughout the Philadelphia region! Mr. Renner’s daughter took over the building in 2004 and runs the restaurant and brewery along with her business partner Mike Rose. Since then, they have expanded the restaurant by installing a stone pizza oven and sushi bar, as well as a chic banquet space for weddings and meetings. We’ve also begun to offer kayak tours along the adjacent Schuylkill River during the warm months.

HSP docents can pull historic documents from their enormous collection and display a curated selection of treasures selected specifically for your event. Guests can view and learn about these documents in The Reading Room, which can also host dinners for up to 60 people. Upstairs, the newly renovated Patterson Room can host up to 150 guests for seated receptions.

Arch Street Meeting House is a historic wedding venue located in Old City Philadelphia. The land on which Arch Street Meeting House stands was officially deeded to the Quakers in 1701 and used as a burial ground until 1872. The building was constructed in stages from 1803-1811 when need arose of a larger Meeting House in Philadelphia. The site is still an active place of worship in addition to being used as an educational museum space, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011. It is frequently rented for conferences, weddings, dinners, and graduations. The building sits on just shy of 2 acres, and our grounds include both grassy & brick spaces and lots of mature trees. The entire site exudes an overall historic charm.
