Kimberly (Kim) Cassens is a successful self-made businesswoman full of ambition and drive. In 2015, she opened her first Nothing Bundt Cakes store in Minnetonka, MN. Over the years, many family members have worked in her flagship Minnetonka location. After 7 years of valuable industry experience and profitable operation of a single store, Cassens began a multi-unit franchise expansion throughout the Twin Cities. This Minnesota network includes Nothing Bundt Cakes locations in Bloomington (Mall of America, Eagan, Edep Prairie, and Prior Lake-Savage.

Lily Bean Bakery started as a curious venture into Macaron making. After a devastating first time failure, I grew obsessed with getting it right. This turned into a vast passion of making beautiful, tasty Macarons of all flavors and colors. I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor's degree in Printmaking. After graduation I moved to the Duluth area and after a few months was hired on by the previous owner of How Sweet It Is, Eileen Brown. I worked for her for a year and half and then took over the business as it's new owner in 2019. Little had I known when I first started the passion I would find for the work. Now at 26 I can't imagine having another career. I love the creativity I get to use from the starting process of baking to completing the cake with design. I get to spend my days utilizing my degree in ways I didn't imagine and enhancing my passion cake by cake.

I stepped away from my role as a head pastry chef in professional kitchens to dedicate more time to my children. Baking is my passion, and after 5 years away from it, I decided to launch my own cottage food bakery. While I’m not able to make anything with fresh fruit decorations or that needs to be refrigerated due to cottage food law, I aspire to open a dedicated cakery in the western suburbs in the near future so that I can provide that. I believe there is a need for a cake shop that emphasizes both the visual appeal and the taste of its products in the area. My goal is to provide this service and add a touch of sweetness to everyone’s day.

I’m Leah and I'm the lady behind the cakes here at Ink. I grew up baking and making cakes for family and friends as a teen and haven’t found anything in life that makes me as happy since! I decided to pursue my love of cake and all things sweet and in 2014 received my Associates Degree in Baking & Pastry from Kendall College in Chicago, Illinois. Welcome! Im Safeera from Prior Lake, Minnesota. I came to the United States 10 years ago from India. Would you believe if I said I did not know how to bake cakes? Yes, thats right. I learned how to bake a cake only in 2012 and slowly made special treats for my kids to enjoy. By 2014 I was good at baking but did not know how to decorate cakes, so a couple of classes at my local craft store was the first step towards the art of decorating.

We are the Northwoods Food Factory and here in the north woods of Minnesota, we create some of the most delectable artisan desserts and sweet treats and we do it the old-fashioned way. By hand. In our kitchen. In small batches. With love and care and pride. We’ve been doing this for years and, though we do one thing and one thing only, we do it well.

After growing up in Chicago’s restaurant industry, Owner Tami Cabrera acquired a taste for a dessert synonymous with Chicago—cheesecake. After moving here in 1993, she found it impossible to find such cheesecake so started her own business.
