The estate was granted in 1683 and was a favored stopping ground for George Washington who enjoyed the parties thrown at this elegant and intimate property still nestled in natural woodlands and ag preserved lands.

Thousand Acre Farm is a unique, rustic waterfront venue. We host weddings, parties, corporate events and fundraisers. Our main barn has 3 levels: The first floor Lodge room, the main floor for dining and dancing and our loft which consists of fun sitting areas for your guests as well as a bridal suite and salon. We also have the smaller Cider Barn where the groom and groomsmen get ready as well as an upstairs luxurious suite for an overnight stay.

Constructed in 1932, this vintage barn oversees 12+ acres of native grasslands – a rich habitat for wildflowers, birds and butterflies – and a historic farmhouse built in the 1750s by a second-generation Quaker farmer.
