The Chalfonte Hotel’s unique history as the oldest continually operating hotel in the nation’s first seaside resort, provides a perfect setting for your wedding celebration. With a warm Southern ambiance, guest fill the sweeping verandas to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while taking advantage of the ocean breeze, followed by dining and dancing in the grande Magnolia Room ballroom. Seventy guest rooms and two adjacent cottages will accommodate your guests for an extended celebration.

    We could not have been happier with the wedding reception at the Chalfonte Hotel.  It was a dream come true for our daughter and son-in-law. The food was fabulous, the Magnolia Room was so elegant and the exterior of the hotel  was the perfect meeting spot for the families to hang out and enjoy the graceful Victorian wrap-around porch. Their recommendation to bring lawn games was a huge hit! Furthermore, the highest accolade we can attribute to the Chalfonte was the staff! Guest after guest complemented both of us with the efficiency, friendliness, and attentiveness of the entire staff. Water glasses were filled rapidly, meals served timely and with abundant smiles!  This is a direct reflection of the management of Ellie and Kylie. They were super responsive and helpful the months leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself! We would recommend the Chalfonte for a wedding reception, a party or just an enjoyable brunch. Thank you for exceeding our expectations!

    I recently got married at the Chalfonte Hotel this past June. It was the most magical day. From the serene beauty of the Willow Tree garden to the simple elegance of the Magnolia Room, everything about the day was perfect. Of course, everyone loved having cocktail hour on the porch, which is personally my favorite part of the hotel. Even before and after the wedding family and friends loved getting together on the porch, having a cocktail, and just enjoying Cape May. I cannot begin to express how kind and amazing the staff are at the Chalfonte. Planning a wedding can definitely feel overwhelming but Ellie was so helpful and communicative every step of the way. Any ideas that we had about how we wanted the day to go she was so receptive to. She made sure that everything we had envisioned was there on our wedding day. If you want a wedding somewhere that is naturally beautiful, fun, and perfectly located, I highly recommend booking you wedding at the Chalfonte Hotel.
