Welcome. Rice Entertainment is an event production company with almost a decade of professional DJ, Audio, and Lighting experience. With roots grounded in the Bay Area, Rice Entertainment has served clients throughout the entire Northern California region and across the nation. As an entertainment production company, Rice Entertainment is committed to making each client's event a memorable one by tailoring our services to meet client needs.

My wife and I got married in September at the botanical garden in Berkeley and were so fortunate to have Brandon as our DJ. From our very first call with him, he was attentive, flexible and so easy to work with. We knew music would be a huge part of our wedding (since we love concerts and festivals) and immediately felt at ease after just our first chat with Brandon. Brandon made all the planning easy with follow-up calls, an app to suggest songs for different playlists and brought all his expertise in terms of pacing, timing, and audio setup for different parts of the night including the first dance, toasts and general dance music. Throughout the night itself, Brandon was communicative and flexible. He changed up the energy and read the crowd so well! We honestly had such a blast and our guests did as well. Can't recommend him enough. Thank you Brandon!

Wunderland Events

Seattle, WA
  • DJ
  • Starts at $2,058
  • Serves Los Angeles, CA for additional fees

We are a talented network of Mobile DJs, MCs, Coordinators and Officiants. We are managed by DJ Wes Wunder and Jacqui V who individually have 20 years of professional experience to elevate your celebration and create memorable moments. Our main single goal in mind: ROCK YOUR PARTY If you're ready to make your big day the best day ever, book your consultation now.

Pick Wunderland for your wedding entertainment!! Jacqui is absolutely fabulous. I was pretty anxious about picking a MC/DJ for our wedding, since they pretty much determine the vibe of your party, but Jacqui was 100% the perfect choice. She is super responsive to any and all questions that come up through the planning process, is super thorough and prepared for every planning meeting, provides great guidance on the flow of your reception, and engages with the crowd in perfect way and amount during the party. Our reception was absolutely perfect, and I feel a lot of that credit goes to Jacqui and the Wunderland team. We also hired a photo booth for our reception, and that was great as well. I've never seen my dad and uncles pose for so many photos together! It made for another awesome way to create memories at the reception.

Stephanie received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Harp Performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB. Now as a professional harpist, she spends her time teaching harp and piano at her private studio, and playing for weddings, funerals, and other private events, and in orchestras and bands throughout SoCal.

Stephanie answered ALL of my questions and at a great response time too. She was very kind throughout the process, and her music was absolutely beautiful during our wedding ceremony. All of our guests were impressed to have her there. We highly recommend working with her!

The Barnstorm

5.0

Maplewood, NJ
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $12,500
  • Serves Los Angeles, CA for additional fees

The Barnstorm is an NYC-based party rock wedding band, best known for their electric and engaging dance party receptions. It's been said they're "not a real wedding band," but rather "an incredibly fun and engaging band that just happens to absolutely rock weddings!" Whether it's today's hits, top 40, hip hop, classic rock, Motown, and all things in between, The Barnstorm can do it all - putting their own spin on everything they do.

Awarded Best of Zola
Highly, highly recommend the Barnstorm for a wedding or any event. We hired them for our wedding the last weekend of September 2019 in Montauk, and they absolutely put the night over the top! First and foremost, they are a great band; not your typical “wedding band”. They aren’t cookie cutter (i.e. you won’t hear them playing the same songs that you hear at every wedding) and they certainly aren’t stiff. They vibe off each other and the room. They are legitimately having a fun time performing with each other and that permeates throughout the room. Everyone will be up dancing, singing, drinking, and sweating their butts off, and having a blast! What to expect: -Professionalism. Brooks responds promptly and covers all bases. No detail will be overlooked during the planning stages. Day of, they get to the venue well ahead of time to sound check and make sure everything is sounding perfect. During the event, they are great at providing direction and making sure everything runs smoothly. -Personalization and flexibility. The guys truly care about making the event as special as possible and are very open to any idea to bring the event over the top. In addition to our “special request” songs (which they nailed) the band was incredibly gracious at my request to join them onstage to “surprise” my wife and guests by playing a song along with them. It could not have gone over any better…my wife was thrilled and it absolutely brought the house down! -Party! They know what will get everyone up and moving. Their catalogue of songs is well over 200 and it includes all decades and genres. Multiple guests commented that they didn’t want to leave the dance floor to get dessert or go to the bathroom because every song was such an amazing jam. The Barnstorm is absolutely worth every penny. We knew they were the right band for our wedding the first moment we heard them at Hill Country, and we feel so lucky and grateful to the guys for playing our wedding. On top of it all, my wife, friends, and I get to continue to relive that night by seeing their gigs throughout NYC! We simply cannot say enough great things about The Barnstorm.

We had our wedding in Jan 2023 at the Bel Air Bay Club in the Palisades and had the best time. While we had a planner, we found Brian on IG and had him play at our reception along with our DJ. We weren't going to do it since we had never been to a wedding with a saxophonist and didn't know what to expect, but we're so glad we did. Boy was he a hit. Our guests absolutely loved him and so did we. We had him start when the reception doors opened and it was excellent. He worked the room during dinner like it was no one's business and played the entire reception along with our DJ. It really was so memorable on many different levels. People are STILL talking and posting videos about Brian today. That being said, we loved was that he was so thoughtful and professional throughout the whole wedding process. We booked him about 9ish months in advance and made us feel like his only clients the entire time. He did a great job creating the party but also didn't take away from anyone else being the center of attention. He also never worked with our DJ (This is Good Mood) before, but you would've never noticed. They were in lock-step the whole time months before the wedding even happened. We absolutely loved him and would hire him 100x more if we could. Please hire him. He's fantastic.

My commitment to communication, reliability, and professionalism forms the bedrock of my services, and I am dedicated to exceeding your expectations. Thank you for considering me as your wedding musician!

Dave's music made our wedding absolutely perfect. His vocals and guitar playing are absolutely breathtaking. Our guests were impressed by the quality and serenity of it, and we were so happy with how it created such ambiance for our special day. We got married last year and wanted live music, both to set the tone while guests arrived, and during our ceremony. We had talked with Dave about the type of feeling we wanted: both intimate and classy, and he gave us a full range of songs and material to select from, both with vocals and without. He showed up on time with all the equipment needed and worked independently with our coordinator without a glitch. He's a true professional-- on time and totally prepared. The presence of his uniquely beautiful voice and guitar made our evening extra special and we had several guests that specifically commented on how lovely it was. He also had a bunch of great ideas for us of how to use music to enrich different parts of the event. Thank you so much Dave!

Music has always been an important part of my life. With over 12 years of experience in the wedding industry, I fell in love with music at a young age, and being a wedding DJ has allowed me to share my passion with my clients on the most important day of their lives. DJing started out as a hobby; I wanted to do more than just listen to music, so I learned creative ways to blend my favorite songs together from different artists and genres to form an experience.

Kelton was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He stuck with us even when we had to postpone our wedding for two years due to the pandemic, so we really appreciated his commitment to working with us. Kelton has a great system for figuring out your taste, priorities, and run of show. He set up very quickly at our venue, which was key given we were running on a tight schedule, and he managed to produce nice sound in a very cavernous space (no idea how!). He kept us running on time and made all transitions seamless. His music perfectly matched the vibe we wanted, starting with a relaxed cocktail hour and dinner, and gradually increasing the tempo into a full-scale dance party as the night went on. And our friends and family had an absolute blast! He had everyone from 20 somethings to family in their 60s and 70s dancing until the very end! We got so many positive messages the next day, including one person who described our DJ as being "on fleek."

The "Original" Moonlighters ®

3.7

Washington, DC
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Los Angeles, CA for additional fees

Since 1990, The Moonlighters ® have been performing throughout the U.S. as one of the country’s best-loved and most authentic Motown and variety dance bands, covering all your Jazz/Blues/Oldies/Motown/Soul/Disco/Funk/Classic Rock/Pop favorites! Just close your eyes and you’ll swear the original artists are performing. But don’t close them for too long or you won’t be able to enjoy their outstanding dance moves and showmanship.

We're quite saddened by their google review, posted even before we had a chance to actually speak with them to clear up several serious inaccuracies. Our band has HUNDREDS of positive online reviews/satisfied wedding clients. And we'll always accept valid criticism. But this one is mostly false and unfair. As Zola does not provide the option for responding to negative reviews, the following are our comments: 1. Since the bride and groom hadn't hired a wedding planner everything was extremely disorganized as we received their timeline just one week prior to the event, but then they changed it twice more, including two days before. Despite asking for our bandleader's phone #, the groom never reached out to discuss any of these details. In other words, we were given minimal direction in regard to all of the last-minute changes. Even on the wedding day itself, our band was asked to set and reset their equipment multiple times because the bride and groom disagreed with the onsite coordinator's floor plan, moving/resetting the bride and groom table as well! 2. According to what the photographer told us, the bride and groom's limo driver was over 90 min. late, shifting the entire timeline and putting them in a bad mood from the very beginning, as noticed by our bandleader at around 5:15pm when he first introduced himself, prior to the band providing either live or recorded music. 3. Regarding the recorded music, it was only lacking for approx. 45 min. as the band discovered the phone battery issue at approx. 7:45pm, during their first break, quickly rectifying the situation by putting the phone on a charger and then continuing with the recorded music outside from approx. 8-10pm. Furthermore, they made up for it by keeping their system running for an extra 30 min., beyond our contracted time of 11pm. And those comments regarding the afterparty are also totally untrue as somebody from the band was manning the system, until a cousin of the bride or groom demanded that he use her playlist instead, and then she responded angrily when he finally turned off the system at 11:30pm. 4. As for the band's sound system, we do acknowledge some 'hum' issues as there was just one electrical outlet provided for the entire band, resulting in 'dirty power' which couldn't be fully corrected. And we deeply regret mispronouncing the various names as most were very unfamiliar and of Indian origin, despite our lining up the wedding party in advance and writing everything down phonetically. 5. Even though some of the client's emails mentioned solo keys during cocktails, we provided a duo, covering an extra 30 min. of recorded music from 4:30-5pm at no extra charge, as requested. While it's standard practice for a band to take a dinner break during an almost six hr. event, this was clearly-specified in our contract as well. And then we performed continuously from 8:30-10pm, including most of the requested songs that we had prepared well in advance. So their comments about seemingly just 'walking off a bus' are completely false and misleading. In other words, our musicians went 'above and beyond' in spite of some very challenging circumstances. 6. Fortunately, we did receive a 'happy reaction' with a crowded dance floor and TONS of compliments from the guests, some requesting pictures w/the band too, while even the bride and groom were singing along and dancing non-stop, which we were VERY happy to see, making their negative review even more surprising though!
