Since 2016, KRR has been one of the Hill Country's most recognizable and esteemed wedding & special event venues, hosting countless successful celebrations over many years. A uniquely elegant and upscale ranch experience, nestled into the heavenly banks of the iconic Pedernales River in the heart of the Texas Wine Country, KRR is optimally located downriver from the Lyndon B. Johnson Family Ranch, just minutes from the charming town of Fredericksburg. Built by event designer to SAG Awards and Audi, our world-class amenities include an open-air terrace on the riverbank, climate-controlled King Barn, 4,000 sq. ft. cottage lodging/make-up/hair studio/dressing salon/private suite, 1/4 mile riverfront, fishing pond & pasture, friendly farm animals, ,site management, tables/chairs, ample parking, unparalleled views in every direction. This aesthetically, logistically flawless venue offers endless options of the finest lodging, dining, wineries, tourist destinations in the immediate area.

Where do I even begin. We are from the UK and booked King River Ranch for our elopement without ever seeing it in person — and it was genuinely one of the best decisions we have ever made in our lives. From the very first conversation, Aidhan and David made us feel so incredibly welcomed and at ease. They were warm, personal, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our day. Planning a wedding from across the world is no small thing, but they made it feel effortless and so special every single step of the way. And then our day came. Willem had set everything up so beautifully — the ceremony space, the flowers, every little detail was just perfect. The getting ready suite, the suite we stayed in, the views, the atmosphere — all of it was beyond anything we could have imagined. It was the most magical day of our entire lives and we mean that with our whole hearts. We have already said we want to come back and stay again because we loved it so much. King River Ranch is something truly special and the people behind it make it even more so. We will shout about this place forever. Truly, truly couldn't have picked anywhere better!

  • Unique barn setting

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Does not provide event staff
  • No all-inclusive dining options
We were able to book our wedding and have accommodations for almost everyone within one month's planning due to this beautiful ranch. We went from an idea of a low key destination wedding to a reality with our family and closest friends in a place we didn't want to leave. We were able to book three of the four properties and host the ceremony and intimate dinner in the Barnhouse. We stayed for four days, had a wedding and saved so much money, time and headaches because of the reasonable pricing, everything being on site for the wedding and access to full kitchens for breakfast and dinner with our family under one roof.
