Our venue is a lounge/club located on South U near the campus perfect for after wedding parties and celebrations! We have a lighting system, a DJ booth, and the ability to do karaoke. With a full bar located in the room, 2 restrooms as well we also have a full kitchen with very limited food options.

Renowned “movie palace” architect C. Howard Crane designed Detroit’s historic Garden Theater, a commission he earned after he opened his own firm in Detroit in 1908. In addition to the Garden Theater, Crane has 250 theaters to his credit, 62 of which were built in Detroit, like The Majestic, The Fox, Orchestra Hall, the Detroit Opera House, and The Fillmore Detroit. One of the city’s earliest neighborhood theaters, the Garden Theater opened to the public in 1912. With its 900-seat capacity, it was one of the largest theaters built outside downtown; it originally hosted live stage shows and motion pictures. As the name implies, Crane cleverly incorporated vines, birds and other garden-style decorations in its design to immerse patrons in an outdoor-like experience. After decades in ruin, the theater underwent a multi-million-dollar restoration and was rededicated in 2013, a century after its initial debut, as part of Midtown’s vibrant resurgence.

As a Downtown Detroit Landmark, the Guardian offers premier event space to host a variety of gatherings. This unique venue provides a beautiful backdrop to any event. It is guaranteed to exceed your expectations and impress your guests. The Guardian Building opened in 1929 as the Union Trust Building. This 486 feet, 40-floor building is made of almost 2 million custom “Guardian Bricks” and is sure to leave a lasting impression on everyone that attends your event. The amazing five-story Michigan Mural was created by Ezra Winter, and the Tiffany Clock provides a great background for photo opportunities on the Promenade.
