We are the Boswell family. Wolf Run Acres is concept that came about after hosting our daughters weddings and struggling to find the country setting they wanted. After hosting one on this site under a tent we rented, we decided this is a beautiful setting for a wedding venue. Our hope is to give each couple, a unique, beautiful setting while ensuring they have the wedding of their dreams. We work with each couple from the time we meet them through their day, making sure we meet all their needs and coordinating with their vendors to ensure they have as stress free and enjoyable day as possible.

Dayton, OH
  • Up to 250 guests

  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,600

We are Carli & Hamilton Dixon, artists and business owners in downtown Dayton for nearly a decade, and residents of downtown for over two decades. The Brightside is located in the 905 E. Third Street building, which was 18,000 sq. ft. filled with abandoned clothes and trash when we purchased it. But over the last 10 years, we have worked to clean it out, restore all of its services, and renovate it to become Dayton's newest music & event venue. It has been a long and difficult road, so we are thrilled to be at this point in the story. We invite you to stop in and introduce yourself soon; we truly look forward to welcoming you!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Accommodates more than 200 guests
  • Allows pets
  • Flexible event spaces

Venue considerations

  • Additional event staff required
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No free parking
We got married at the Brightside and it was our dream day! Carli, Sophie, Suzie, and the rest of the staff were so well-prepared, communicative, and helpful at all phases. Their pricing is very fair for the amount of labor they did for us. They are so much more flexible and accommodating than your typical venue. The space is beautiful, even without all the extras. They have tons of great photo spaces. I highly recommend The Brightside!

I can't say enough about how professional, kind and responsive Josie was in making our vision come true! The menu selection is delicious. It will be hard to decide what you want. Our selections were delicious. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was. I have to comment on how nice it is to work with a coordinator that knows the vendors in the area to help you achieve your theme and have the best night you can for your guests. Additionally, the servers were excellent and really made our guests feel special. They go out of their way to help and attend to everyone!
