Wedding cakes can range from $3–$15 per serving . Tiered cakes are more expensive than sheet cake styled cakes.

How should we cut our wedding cake?

Traditionally, you’d do a ceremonial cutting first, often holding hands on the knife. The caterer then takes the cake away and cuts it into slices to distribute to guests. If you’re slicing it up yourselves, take apart the tiers and cut them into small rectangles. Remember to wrap and freeze the top layer for your anniversary!

How should we transport our wedding cake?

Very carefully! Ideally, your cake will be delivered by your bakery, which should have plenty of experience transporting cakes. You can also purchase special boxes made to protect the tiers.

When should we order our wedding cake?

Set up tastings (the fun part!) around 7 months out. Once you’ve decided, place your order.

Our reception was outdoors and there was some concern about our cake being in the sun for several hours, which required some coordinating with the venue about when the cake should be delivered. Natasha took it upon herself to talk directly with the venue in the week leading up to the wedding, insisting that it was not something she wanted us to have to worry about, and for that I was so grateful! It was not just a dessert; it was an art piece that reflected our entire wedding aesthetic. Flavor-wise, Juries worked with us to create a custom combo of chocolate cake with a caramel and hazelnut praline buttercream filling. I am a small, one woman-operated home bakery that specializes in custom buttercream cakes and macarons for birthdays, engagement parties, and small weddings. I began as a cake artist in 2020 and have fallen in love with creating realistic buttercream flowers and piping vintage-style Lambeth cakes.

“I had an idea in mind for my cutting cake and saw exactly what I wanted on Kaley’s instagram account! I emailed her about 7 months in advance and she responded quickly and had my contract sent out almost immediately. I gave her the venue’s contact information and she coordinated the delivery so I didn’t need to worry or do any more work on my wedding day. We decided on the cutting cake and cupcakes for guests, we received so many compliments on the carrot cake flavor and the cream cheese buttercream icing was a huge hit! The quality, beauty, and value was everything I could have wanted.”

However we do offer a 2 tier cake for the traditional cutting and photos in addition to our Caketini Bar. Let your guests choose the cake they love! Not what's chosen for them!
