Had my wedding 10/12/24 at Bartlett Hills Golf Club and it was an absolute dream! The venue itself is beautiful. They give you the option for either indoor or outdoor ceremony spaces overlooking their lake. Outdoor ceremony space is limited to about 150 people but it was perfect for our wedding of about 125. You get access to multiple golf carts to explore the golf course for photos. Taking bridal party photos with all the autumn trees in the background made for awesome shots! There is a locked bridal suite for the ladies to get ready in or store your things for the day. However, its not the most spacious, so might be best to get ready elsewhere for parties bigger than 4 or 5 people. The reception area is open and spacious, with two bars. And diverse! They can close off areas for smaller groups, they can move the dance floor to your liking. They give you the option to customize SO MUCH. Their pricing is amazing for how all inclusive their packages are. The premium package (im not sure the exact name) offers way more than any other venue I visited or researched. And was far more affordable. It included an hour of passed hors doeuvres, an absolutely delicious dinner, open bar, all your linens, fresh flower centerpieces, an arch for your ceremony, even the cost of your cake!!! We got so many compliments on how delicious the dinner and the cake was. But what really sells this venue is Evan, the event coordinator. He is really the mastermind behind making your dream wedding a reailty. Most people say not to bank on a venue coordinator being like a real day of coordinator, but let me tell you, in the case of Evan, he is that and so much more. He is there to help every step of the way, offering advice and insight because the man clearly knows what hes doing. Also, him and his staff set up and break down ALL of your decorations. He is so helpful, friendly, and honestly just a cool guy. He even gave us the OK for our officiant/friend to do the stone cold steve austin beer smash for their reception entrance (we changed those plans, but still). Overall, I have zero negative things to say about this venue. My wedding was 110% everything I dreamed, in large part to Evan and the staff at Bartlett Hills GC. I would recommend a million times over.

I loved my wedding, it was everything I could've wanted out of the venue. I had My ceremony (outside) & reception (inside) and it was such a wonderful time! I did the family-style menu and all the food was delicious. The reception area in the all seasons room was beautiful with the light globe. The bartenders and servers were very attentive and polite. All of our guests loved the food, the chocolate fountain, and of course the late-night bowling!! The communication with the venue was my main pain point as I was appointed multiple sales managers as it seemed like they were going through a management change. I thought it was odd that I talked with the sales manager for all of my communication regarding the wedding up until the day of I was assigned an event manager who I met 1 hour before my ceremony. The sales manager was still on property the day of but I thought it was weird I didn't receive any information that I would be working with someone else the day of. I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a beautiful and fun place to get married!!

The onsite coordinator, Anna, and her team were incredibly amicable, helpful, and calm throughout the entire ceremony setup. Anna's coordination with my team during the ceremony setup made the process a breeze. Additionally, Anna and her team did an outstanding job cueing the wedding party, bride and groom, and guests for their timely entrances, which tremendously helped ensure a smooth ceremony flow. John was always available to answer questions, and what I really appreciated was that he didn't use annoying sales tactics like other places that try to pressure you into booking a space; he provided me with the information I needed and then answered questions and provided adequate advice/feedback along the way. Additionally, the flexibility to find your own vendors to bring your event to life was what made me choose this place over others. Overall, every single team member went above and beyond to make sure the night was flawless. They were organized, attentive, and treated me like family throughout the entire planning process and event. The venue is stunning—with gorgeous chandelier lighting, grand ceilings, and a layout that made every moment feel special. His professionalism and warmth were so appreciated—he made sure we were all taken care of. We were drawn to Colvin House because of the mansion's historic details, but believe it truly shines when paired with the talents of Pyrite Sun, their in-house planning, catering, rentals, and floral team. We met with Sarah (Colvin's Events Manager/Owner of Pyrite Sun) to tour the space and ended up hiring Pyrite Sun for our entire wedding at Colvin House. Not only was it convenient to have everything under one roof, but we had a personalized wedding experience like no other–complete with vintage furniture, plates, and coupes, the most incredible floral from Colvin's gardens, and a customized food menu that our guests still rave about. I also love that Sarah recommends great vendors they've worked with and happily coordinates whatever you need with any other vendors you'd like to hire, as well. Shaw's is a place my mom and I frequent often for after work martinis and apps. We love the Oyster Bar and one day decided it would be the perfect spot for my bridal shower. I cannot say enough amazing things about the team here at Makray! From the moment I saw Makray and met Leeza, I knew that this venue is where I wanted to get married. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, Leeza had amazing communication throughout the entire process, was accommodating with all of our requests, and helped make my wedding day a literal dream! When we dropped off our deposit, my husband and I sat in the office with Leeza & Laurie for over an hour and got to know one another better. It truly showed us how much they cared about getting to know us, how passionate they are about their jobs, and how committed they were to giving us the best wedding day possible. This review is long overdue! If you are looking for amazing food and service for your wedding, cocktail party, corporate event, or honestly, ANY event catering and service you need, you can’t go wrong with Lisa and her team at Kuma’s. One of the top three important items we wanted to concentrate on for our wedding was the catering (food and service). We have been big fans of Kuma’s for a long time which led me to look at them for our catering needs. We looked at a few places which we thought would work for our vibe, but after meeting with Lisa, we knew we had to have Kuma’s catering. Starting with the tasting, refining the menu before the day, as well as the actual day, Lisa was extremely responsive and communicative and really worked with us and our budget to make sure our day was memorable and special. Their sliders are exceptionally delicious (make sure to get the chicken Iron Maiden), and despite them being known for their burgers, Kuma’s has the capability to accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions including vegans, vegetarians, those with gluten free and dairy allergies, and even the pickiest of kids! We had nine kids attending our wedding and I was concerned they would not enjoy the sliders as much as the adults. Lisa offered to provide a tray of chicken tenders with sauces for the kiddos to accommodate them to go along with the mac and cheese we had put on the menu. Moreover, everything is prepared fresh and never frozen, which is remarkable in today’s market. The basil vinaigrette used for the house salad was made fresh the day of and if I could, I’d buy a bottle every week. Furthermore, there are special items you can only get with catering, and we highly suggest ordering the buffalo chicken bites, jalapeno popper bites, and especially the artichoke dip. They were out of this world amazing. Everyone left extremely satisfied and we still get compliments on how amazingly delicious the food was, not to mention the exceptional level of service. Lisa was extremely attentive and beyond helpful with set up and clearing and made sure we didn’t have anything to worry about at the end of the night. Nick, our bartender, was super helpful with last-minute tasks before guests arrived, and made sure everyone had a drink and were taken well care of. As I said before, we were big fans of Kuma’s prior to our wedding and this experience just cemented our love for them even more. We will definitely use them for our catering needs in the future. If you are looking for something unique and special that will have everyone remembering your event in the best possible way, we highly recommend you book Kuma’s!

I got married 1/25/20 (literally right before pandemic hit). Never did I image the process of planning would be so smooth and of course I prepared for at least 1 hiccup during the day. When I tell you EVERYTHING was perfect; it really was. Belvedere's team is the reason for this! From months leading up to my day, weeks, days, and hours; Jodi, Doro, and the rest of the team were great at getting back to all my questions and made me feel comfortable with all things wedding related. The tasting (3 months prior) was amazing and chef Alfredo made his presence, explained all choices, and this was the moment that getting married hit us! Let's not forget that doro was amazing at the tasting too! Although side note; I've worked with the belvedere team for 10+ years for corporate events so there were lots of jokes on why i even needed a tasting. :) fast forward to rehersal the day before, doro once again was a gem to have around. He calmed my nerves with a glass of chardonnay. :) day of the wedding jodi stuck around in my bridal suite and made sure my dress was perfect for my entrance, came down and watched a bit of the ceramony, hugged me afterwards, and made sure all was great before she made her exit. The bartenders were on point, food service was quick, hot and delicious, decorations were in ALL the right spots per my horrible instructions (they are great at figuring things out!) And I had nothing to worry about other than making sure I soaked up EVERY second with my new groom. Although I've known belvedere a long time and have had numerous events here (sometimes 6 or more a month) my wedding felt amazing and it was nothing like my corporate events. I also will let future brides know that you will be treated just as amazing! If you want a jaw dropping venue with bonus amazing staff that will treat you as if you're their most important customer (and even a friend) then you are in the right place. You will get all of these same treatments... it doesnt matter if you've known them for 10 years or it's your first meeting. They care about every person coming in their venue and want you to walk away knowing they have their $%*T together and you only have to focus on you!

I worked with LNF for over a year to plan my dream wedding. We knew we wanted to go a little unconventional from the standard type of venue and let me say it PAID OFF. From the planning perspective: I want to give all my kudos to Brianna from the events team for everything she did! She was in constant communication with me about everything from food selections to reception layout and was so kind throughout the entire process. She helped me feel empowered with the decisions we were making and helped with monthly touch bases to go over details to weekly once we got close to the wedding. She made sure I had everything I needed and helped make our vision come to life! From the venue/event perspective: Our guests are still raving about this wedding two weeks out. The family style entrees gave everyone more than enough food that was delicious and the bar staff was getting into the party with us as much as we were! Everyone was attended to in a timely manner and the entire staff played a huge role in making the night so welcoming and engaging. The layout worked perfectly for our group, too. The garden transformed into our dance floor that easily fit all of our guests together and the rooftop served as such a unique and beautiful setting for our ceremony. I truthfully don’t have enough positive things to say about the staff and the venue. Not to mention that the pricing for our event was all inclusive (bar, food, venue, DJ, decor, etc.) which made it super easy to keep track of everything and was also WAY more affordable than other venues within the area. I chose ICC for my bridal shower venue because the venue is absolutely gorgeous! I loved the large venue spaces, beautiful landscapes through the windows, and overall airy feel! We ended up picking the Lyons room because it was spacious but not overwhelming. The natural lighting was gorgeous. Everything from the initial tour to the final product was gorgeous. All the staff members were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the process. Even when we came to set up the morning of, some wonderful team members were already helping to put favors on the table exactly where we wanted them (it’s like they read our minds!) The food was also absolutely delicious. We chose the chicken piccata and everyone was raving about it. Would 100% host another event here. Many of our guests were super impressed as well! Intimacy is hard to achieve in a venue and nowadays with the crushing oppression of minimalism, even more difficult to find. What I love about Lou Lou is that it has all of the necessary staples of a well run restaurant but none of the chaos. The decor is warm and welcoming, the tables are a pleasant lighter wood that invokes a bright memory of sitting in the kitchen of the cool aunt. Textured pieces of art and pottery grace the walls and delicate white curtains frame the front windows to give the diners privacy. I love that I can see the chefs working diligently behind the counter and that the flow of the space draws your eye down the line and to the cute little stage in the back. This could be used for a jazz trio, a sweetheart table or an emotional speech at a rehearsal dinner. Regardless, the space is unique and I am certain, will become as precious to the community as it is to me and my family.
