“We took on a lot of planning ourselves, and hired Rina to be our day of coordinator--or really month of coordinator--and out of all of our planning decisions, hiring Rina was one of the best decisions we made. Ahead of our first call, we sent a long document outlining the ideas we had--which she looked through and gave us useful feedback on as we considered what support we needed most. We had some unique ideas for how to do things our own way--and it was also clear from our conversation, that while Rina knows how to do a "textbook" wedding--she also knows how to listen to clients to help them make their unique vision a reality, even if that requires some creative thinking, crafting, or problem solving. When we did our venue walkthrough a month before the event, we sent Rina another long document, floorplan, and schedule the day before--and she once again arrived familiar with all of it. She had crucial suggestions, important questions we hadn't thought of, and proved again she was the right person to help us get prepared for the big day. That pattern repeated once more at rehearsal which was very efficient! The day of our wedding, Rina was punctual, professional, and in expert control running the show we had put together. She had already connected with all of our vendors, reviewed all the decorations we designed and how they set up, and was fully familiar with the timeline. When the inevitable surprises popped up, she was quick to roll with the punches--in a way that kept our plans on track! The entire event was not just beautiful, unique, and exactly the vibe we had envisioned--but it was also EXACTLY ON SCHEDULE, from set up to the paper lantern send off at the end! We are thoroughly impressed, and can't recommend Rina highly enough! She was our not so secret weapon. Let her be yours too! And make no mistake, while we had Rina as our month-of-coordinator--we would have absolutely hired Rina to take on the entire thing if we hadn't enjoyed planning so much (and even then, we couldn't have finished the plans without her input!). I will also say, having planned so much ourselves, it really made it very personal to us that the schedule we made, the decorations we crafted, and the timeline we envisioned were faithfully executed. It was so personal, that I thought it would be hard to hand off our cherished plan to someone else. Who could know it as well as us or care as much? But every conversation with Rina made letting go easy, because it was so clear she was listening to us, and understanding us. There is no one else we would've trusted with our plan except Rina.”

Hands down, the easiest and best decision we made (besides going through with the marriage ;-)) was picking Chris as our photographer. He was so easy to work with from the get go. We set up a brief meeting, shared our vision (we wanted a "photojournalist approach"), and mapped out a schedule of events. Anything that we did not think to ask, he made sure to bring up and help make our vision more complete. Chris was excellent at capturing all of the tiny moments of the night without being in anyone's way. The pictures that he captured were absolutely STUNNING--the perfect amount of sentimental moments captured in beautiful lighting and silly off the cuff moments that captured the essence of each and every guest. We would work again with Chris in a heartbeat and friends have already requested his contact information for their ceremony. As an added bonus, because we did not end up using Chris for all of the allotted time, he offered to do a separate photoshoot whenever we would like. It's those little attention to details and customer service which make Chris stand out from the rest. Overall, Chris was kind, professional, quick to edit and publish photos, and an amazing photographer. You would not do wrong by hiring him!”

Furthermore, during the wedding reception not only did they make sure everything was perfect as we planned, but on the fly they used great judgement to make the reception better by tweaking the arrangement. As well, we had no worries once the wedding was over because we knew we could trust them to secure anything of value and what we owned, as well as what any vendor might of left behind. Even so far as to hold our possessions in their home until it was convenient for us to get them. We loved Maddy and Cass and highly recommend them as your wedding planners.”

The appetizers at cocktail hour were great, particularly the mini crab cakes (even made gluten free due to some allergies). There were about 90 guests and everything went very smoothly, from the plated salad and soup courses, then main course stations set up with beef, poultry, seafood choices, as well as a vegan option for a couple of guests. Dessert shooters were delicious. The rentals (tables, place settings, etc) were great and communication and flexibility were exceptional from start to finish. Highly recommend Hausfrau for any catering needs.”
