After chatting on the phone, we sent her some Pinterest boards with more details about our style and vision. Within 24 hours, Melissa sent a very thorough itemized proposal with the exact flowers and items for us to confirm within our wishlist and budget range, such as bouquets, corsages/boutonnieres, the flower girl basket, the ceremony arch, table centerpieces, and wedding cake florals. Blooms by JG was able to give us a bridal bouquet, 7 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 pocket boutonnière for my husband, 10 regular boutonnières for the groomsmen/fathers, two substantially large and absolutely gorgeous floral pieces for our arch/arbor, and approximately 90ish single white roses for our centerpieces all within our floral budget! In addition, I wanted to DIY some things and she was willing to work with me on those too. Despite me changing my mind from an array of colorful florals to all white blooms, adding and deleting things, and asking tons of questions, Jackie made sure that our florals were absolutely perfect the day of our wedding. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

“Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!”

“Cascade Queens is the perfect florist if you’re looking into using wooden faux flowers! Dana was absolutely amazing to work with. I appreciated how she was so organized, informative, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. She regularly kept me updated on different promotions to help us stay within budget, which I really appreciated. One of the coolest parts of this experience was being able to choose my own color scheme and she designed the flowers exactly how I envisioned them. I highly recommend checking out their reference photos on Instagram or Facebook, because it really helped me get a sense of the floral styles I liked. Dana also worked with me to match everything to my color palette, offering great suggestions along the way. On my wedding day, she came in while we were getting ready and set everything up beautifully. She even sent me photos during setup to confirm I liked the placement. The floral displays on the tables were gorgeous, and the pergola she decorated turned out stunning! She also shared helpful tips on how to re-use the ceremony florals for the cocktail hour and reception tables/decor, which saved us on cost and over-ordering. At the end of the night, Dana came back to retrieve the larger pieces and centerpieces, but we got to keep our beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres. I highly recommend Cascade queens for your floral needs, Dana is amazing and I’m going to keep my beautiful florals forever!”
