We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.

As a boutique bakery, your wedding is my top priority. Everything I make is from scratch and I customize every element to you. I only schedule a few weddings every week to give your cake the personal attention and detail it deserves. You won't find large ovens, bulk ingredients and dozens of cakes leaving my kitchen on a weekly basis. I am an artist and feel like your cake should be a work of art. Based in Fenton Michigan, MI Great Lakes Cakes is a self perpetuating and self taught full service bakery. From custom cookie designs to tiered wedding cakes, baking has forever been a passion at the heart of our story.

Our story is a reminder of how simple life’s pleasures can be. We have great memories of spending time with friends and family around a table, enjoying good food & sharing stories, celebrating life together. We still do this with our own kids and grandkids. Our menu is inspired by Sandy’s southern heritage as well as friends who have baked desserts for church dinners with her. That’s where she perfected her cheesecake recipe. She also worked at The White Horse Inn in Metamora, Michigan, one of the premier dining destinations in the area, where she further developed her baking techniques.

Our Vintage 1960's camper has been fully remodeled and is ready to serve up Hudsonville Ice cream. Booking includes 1-3 happy servers, service for 2-3 hours depending on the size of your event. Up to 5 Flavors!
