We got Married at the farm on October 7th 2023 and that day was the most incredible day of our lives! Everyone was beyond helpful the staff is beyond amazing! Let me just tell you, YOU need that day of coordinator, Bridget is the best, I repeat, THE BEST she did a phenomenal job! The farm is beautiful and over super accommodating. There was plenty of space for our 200 guests and tons of beautiful scenery for photo ops. The owners were very pleasant and answered any question we had. They were so helpful and easy to work with. Showalter’s Orchard

5.0

Timberville, VA
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $5,300

Over the years, we've enjoyed sharing our farm with our friends and family for their uniquely beautiful weddings. Seeing our extraordinary aerie from their perspective reminded us to take in how special it is, and it inspired us to redesign and renovate a former greenhouse. We’ve created a belvedere of sorts with walls of windows that make a feature of our wondrous view of the Shenandoah Valley.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has onsite accommodations
  • Surrounded by beautiful vineyards
  • Rustic-chic setting

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • Does not have a dance floor
Showalter’s was one of two venues on our short list, and we’re very glad we decided to go with them. We wanted a mountain view during the ceremony and the terrace was absolutely perfect. The greenhouse is gorgeous and looks amazing both in person and in photographs and was the perfect backdrop. We served cider and apple cider donuts and our guests loved both. It felt so unique and special! Working with everyone at the venue was incredibly easy, and they were so kind and welcoming to us and felt like they really wanted to make sure our day went well. We booked all of the AirBnBs on the property and would definitely recommend doing so. The “bridal” suite off of the Greenhouse was great for staging and getting a moment away during the wedding, having the extra space for actually getting ready was a very good choice (especially with larger wedding parties and lots of people doing hair and makeup). We also stayed in one of the AirBnBs the night before and afterwards, and being on the property was incredibly convenient as hotels in Harrisonburg are a bit of a hike. The AirBnBs were cute and worked great for our purposes! We stayed in one of the AirBnBs through to the Monday after our Saturday wedding which was great and made it so that we didn’t have to rush getting everything out the morning after the wedding. Designed to mimic the historic manor home on the farm property, The Pavilion on Lakeland Farm is southern charm at its best. This wedding venue in Orange, Virginia has so much to offer! The majestic gardens and ponds around The Pavilion offer numerous locations for outdoor ceremonies and many striking backdrops for your wedding photographs. Inside the banquet hall, large skylights line the dramatically tall ceilings. Your wedding guests are certain to be impressed with the spaciousness and elegance the banquet hall provides. Perfect location for weddings near Charlottesville, Virginia.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Offers convenient lodging options
  • Classic elegance
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
  • Additional event staff required
My son and his wife chose The Pavilion on Lakeland Farm for their 60 person wedding. Janet was helpful from beginning to end with advice on timelines and vendors. The number of extras offered for this venue was impressive. She acted as the Day-Of coordinator, provided the tables and linens and parking attendants. There was room for the bridal party and groomsmen to get ready without seeing each other. I would call it the perfect venue.
