I have the most amazing memories from childhood of being cuddled up with my Granny going through old pictures. The joy and nostalgia that came from those old film photos where everything. When I was approx. 4 years old, my Grandma would let me use her camera to take pictures of my dolls (lol)! I've owned Meganography since 2016, and I've been photographing love since 2017. I'm Devyn! I've been a professional wedding photographer for 5 years and have photographed over 200 weddings. I specialize in wedding and engagement photography, and I am a sucker for candid and raw emotion photos. I love to travel for photography, and will come to wherever I'm needed! I am so thankful I get to document these special moments for couples.

I love to have fun and I put 110% into everything I do. I’m outgoing, talkative, silly, a little sarcastic…but most importantly I’m a mother. I LOVE photography and I got into it after having our first daughter. Like most new parents I wanted to capture everything she did. It became an obsession for me to perfect my photography, partly because I like to be the best at whatever I do and also because I wanted to have amazing pictures of my girls! I’ve had some of the worst experiences with photographers before I became one.

I started Megan Pontius Photography after I graduated Highschool in 2021. I didn't really get into couples photography until I got married in 2022. It wasn't until then that I really saw the different seasons in a relationship. Between the first date, to the 100th date, to getting engaged, stress of wedding planning, to the wedding day, and the days after that taking on life together. I'm here to make sure those moments are documented for you to look back on years later.

We are the parents of six humans, four cats, and seven chickens. We love all things spooky, vintage, and we're fairly certain our bodies are 90% coffee. In case you can't tell from this photo from our wedding: we're incessantly goofy. We make our home in Birmingham, Alabama and we recently moved into our dream house: an old, spooky fixer-upper with enough land for a mini-farm. Our hearts weren't made to live without adventure, so we love to travel whenever we can!
