About Luna Legacies

Christina Moon with Luna Legacies

Destination Elopement Photographer

Hey! I'm Christina: a 25 year old Georgia native dreaming of living somewhere that gets more than 0.25 inches of snow a year. If I was a book character I’d definitely be Anne of Green Gables. I thrive on adventure, nostalgia, and meaningful connections. And in the spirit of full transparency, I'm also a major goof with a sarcastic sense of humor.

I believe that my couples should remember every ounce of their wedding day in vivid detail. To recall the moment they committed themselves to the love of their life with all five senses. My goal is to help my couples craft an elopement experience that encourages them to slow down, and remain present and 100% true to themselves… And to document that experience with an equal amount of intentionality through artful, honest photographs. Because our stories become our history, and our history becomes our legacy. Photos teach us to treasure our history; to treat it as sacred… Your story deserves to be remembered.

    Christina is amazing! Hire her!

I can not say enough kind words about Christina. She is incredibly easy to work with and she was an instrumental part of the day. She has a very creative eye and I felt confident in her ability to capture the events of the day. I would definitely work with her again!

We are OBSESSED with our wedding photos!

Ahhhh....Christina! Where to begin? There are two things you need to know; 1.) Christina is ammmmaaazzzzing! 2.) We (+ALL our family and friends) are OBSESSED with our wedding photos! From our initial conversation, Christina was interested in understanding what we wanted for our wedding day and how we wanted the photography experience to feel. Also, not sure who was more excited about our day - us or her! She was friendly, upbeat, so enthusiastic and emotionally invested in photographing our wedding, that we couldn't get over it! We felt so lucky to find her. So grateful, yet it didn't stop there. We eloped to Tybee Island, GA and continued to celebrate (and take more photos!) in Savannah. Since we were eloping, pictures of the day were really important to us so we could share the experience with family and friends back home. And man, did Christina nail it!! From the moment she arrived, we felt like we had known Christina our whole lives. Even though we had only met her on Zoom calls, it wasn't awkward at all. She has such a calming, even keeled presence. The consummate professional, she just stepped right in and got to work right away setting up incredible shots. I remember feeling so confident in her! And also feeling like, "she's got this!" When we received our first set of initial pictures, we were absolutely bowled over! I mean shocked! To this day, I cannot get over how beautiful our photos are. Christina’s unobtrusive presence and keen eye captured every single detail! She not only made it fun, but she even captured intimate moments that we could not have imagined and otherwise would have missed! Also, somehow she managed to accomplish all of this without us feeling as if we were being watched or photographed. We recommend Christina Moon of Luna Legacies Photography without hesitation! And honestly, could not imagine our day without her!

Our *AMAZING* October 2021 Wedding Pics

Christina was the photographer for our wedding this past October, and we couldn’t be happier with how our pictures turned out!! She was amazing to work with through the planning and wedding day. Christina made both me and my husband feel so cared for and supported. She brought so much fun to our wedding day and did the best job of capturing all the moments we wanted and more. She photographed our engagement session as well, and those pictures turned out to be amazing: knowing she would do a great job eliminated a huge amount of stress from the wedding day. The final gallery is stunning, and I know we will enjoy these pictures forever! It captures our personalities, our relationship, and both the big and little moments of this day so well. (Also, one of my favorite unexpected surprises was in a gift package we received after the wedding, which had several polaroid pictures taken the day of the wedding!) She truly thought of every detail. Christina is so gifted in every part of the photography process, and we would 100% recommend her !!

I require a 30% non-refundable retainer when you book to reserve your date! The rest is due the week before your wedding day. All payments are processed through Honeybook.
Just because you’ve decided to elope, doesn’t mean you’ve eliminated the challenges of planning a wedding. There are so many factors to consider when it comes to sourcing vendors in your chosen destination, finding a ceremony spot at a location you’ve never visited before, finding the perfect lodging accommodations, obtaining permits, etc. But hypothetically, let’s say that your cousin just so happens to be an elopement planner and she’s helping you for free… I do offer a “photo only” package! This package eliminates my elopement planner/day-of coordinator, but includes my photography coverage and travel expenses.
Absolutely not! Your wedding day should be reflective of who you both are, and not constrained to the “adventurous elopement” stereotype that says you have to hike 5+ miles to get the best views and the coolest photos. Even for my couples who do want to incorporate hiking into their wedding day, I recommend choosing a trail that is no more than 3-6 miles round trip in total. But your ideal elopement day might not include any hiking at all! It might be in the backyard garden of your dear friends’ house, the rooftop patio of your favorite restaurant, or at an easily accessible scenic overlook!
Many people assume that because they are eloping, that they don’t need much photography coverage. But personally, I don’t believe that telling the story of your wedding day deserves to be treated with any less intentionality simply because you’ve chosen to elope. With that being said, I recommend no less than 6-8 hours of photography coverage, which is standard for a traditional wedding day timeline as well. But I am ALWAYS down to do a full day of adventuring with you! The good news is that we can always upgrade your package as we go along if you find that you may want or need more time.
This answer can vary from state to state here in the US. Some states (like Colorado) allow you to self solemnize your wedding, whereas most require 1-2 witnesses. We (Christina and Jordan!) are more than happy to stand in as your witnesses if necessary, or you can bring friends and family along as witnesses. You could also opt for hiring a traditional officiant!
Definitely. All final images in your online gallery will be fully edited according to my editing style that is seen across my portfolio of work.
Typically, couples book me about 6-14 months before their wedding/elopement date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. But I alway send a small sneak peek gallery within 48 hours of your elopement/wedding day!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 5 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. Unless the earth splits and swallows me whole, you better believe I will be on my deathbed before I miss your wedding day! If by some crazy circumstance I AM unable to be present on your big day, I promise to do everything within my power to alert you ASAP and find a replacement photographer for the day-of. I will still edit and deliver the images myself, and the replacement photographer will be someone that we both love and trust. If these options aren’t satisfactory then you are 100% entitled to a full refund for any un-rendered services.
Yes! Her name is Jordan, and she is my on staff elopement planner + day-of coordinator. She is the one working behind the scenes to source customized vendor recommendations, find unique airbnb stays for your trip, and build out your wedding timeline. She's honestly the best, with so much contagious energy. You're going to love her!
Not at this current time. Maybe someday! But I'd be more than happy to recommend some of my favorite videographers in the industry.
