When I was shopping around, I talked to a lot of really amazing and talented florists, but Dana stood out because of her drive, professionalism, and her understanding of my vision. Of note, I was between DM Events and one other vendor for my florals (he was recommended by my venue) and when I had one of my calls with him, I was quoted almost three times the price that Dana had quoted me. When I mentioned that, this vendor told me that "if I could get it for less, go with the other vendor." He genuinely didn't believe that I could have gotten what I was looking for at a lower price point. My flower delivery the day of was timely, professional, and once again, totally seamless. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and many of my guests commented about how beautiful they were. One of my bridesmaids works in the wedding industry and was totally blown away by how gorgeous they were. They were also so fresh and all of my arrangements that were in floral sponges were still in perfect condition two days later so I was able to pull them off and preserve them.”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

As part of the planning process, we sought out a preservation artist who could freeze this element of our wedding forever in time. I found Jackie of Evergreen Botanical Studio and her 3-D preservation style matched exactly what I was looking for, so we booked our date with her as soon as we could. She was the PERFECT choice. She took my crazy wild bouquet, my grandmother’s handkerchiefs that wrapped the stems, all the extra flowers from the arrangements, and even some delphinium from her own garden (because she's such an angel and took pity on me that mine didn’t quite survive), and created a work of art that takes me directly back to my wedding day and reminds me of all the amazingness that unfolded. AND she crafted the most wonderful little memento for my Mom, that was completed in time to gift for her 50th wedding anniversary, just months after our event. Jackie was so easy to work with, providing detailed instructions for packaging and shipping the flowers from the Midwest, eased my worry by confirming as soon as she received them, and gave a timeline and explanation of how the whole preservation process works. It seems like magic that the flowers in the finished product look just as they did on the day of our wedding. If you have no idea where to start on your wedding florals Leah expertly guides you so that you can have as much or as little involvement as you would like through the entire process. Her enthusiasm for what she does makes the creation of your wedding florals even more enjoyable and special. Leah’s whole process was done remotely and she would send photos of the pieces during the few weeks leading up to the wedding. I would highly recommend using faux for at least part of your wedding florals because it saves so much money and you aren’t stuck with tons of fresh arrangements that die quickly post-wedding.
