Welcome! I'm Chef Sakinah. I have worked in the food and beverage industry professionally for nearly a decade and counting. Throughout my career, I've worked in various restaurants across New Jersey, New York City, Florida, North Carolina, and California. With this exposure, I've learned many different styles, cuisines, and techniques of cooking, and from many executive head chefs. Managing and handling all facets of the kitchen, is also my expertise. Graduating from one of the top Culinary Arts Schools in the United States, I earned my A.A.S Degree in Culinary Arts, and Serv Safe/State Food Safety Certificate.

Em’s Catering is a love project. I started it as a small private chef side gig to help make ends meet and it quickly grew to a full business. My team and I have been part of over 200 weddings and being there to watch the most special day in a couples life is joyful. We pour that joy and love into the food. My name is Saleshia Staton and Splash by Sas and I originated out of North Carolina. Started as something small with helping out with events here and there and I wanted to perfect my craft. I started booking events and working on how to be a better event planner, mixologist, caterer, decorator, etc. etc. all of the above to make sure my clients are receiving the best services and the best and high quality that they are looking for.
