Karrikin Spirits Company is a Cincinnati based craft distillery and event space in Fairfax, committed to exploring our love of flavors with the community. By definition, karrikins are the elements found in the smoke from a forest fire that trigger the regeneration of that forest. In the centuries since Whiskey Hollow was settled, those karrikins have been at work to bring distilling back to this very location on Cincinnati’s east side. In Spring of 2017, seven founding members with experience in brewing & distilling, woodworking, design, and more came together to purchase a building formerly occupied by Swallen’s and later, DnD Metal to start a journey of flavor and fire. From there, Karrikin Spirits Company was formed — a full-service, grain to glass distillery producing handcrafted spirits, sparkling spirits, non-alcoholic sodas, and beer.

“Karrikin Spirits was the perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner. The space was very cool and modern, with an industrial vibe that we loved. The value was great - we got a lot for what we paid. The day of staff was super friendly and attentive, and the drinks they served were amazing. There was quite a number of shifts for the coordinator person so we did have a bit of confusion around the timing of the dinner, but ultimately the team pulled through and made it a super special evening for us and our guests. Overall, we were really pleased with Karrikin Spirits and would highly recommend them for any wedding-related event.”
