Don’t overlook the Short Hills Hilton for your wedding! It was the perfect location for our big day, offering a central gathering spot where our guests didn’t have to worry about traveling throughout the day. We explored several traditional venues, but none felt as right as this one. We had a November wedding and didn’t expect to have an outdoor ceremony, but the hotel’s lovely patio space was a wonderful option, and surprisingly, the noise from the JFK Parkway wasn’t an issue. For our indoor ceremony, the venue features a permanent enclosed tent structure. At first glance, it didn’t seem like much, but with the help of the event coordinator Vivian Cohen’s help and coordination with our florist, the space was transformed into something breathtaking. The reception space was spacious and perfect for our 170 guests—large enough for everyone to feel comfortable but not so big that it felt empty. Guests still rave about the food and service! The chef and maître d' truly deserve all the praise. The hors d’oeuvres were diverse and delicious, from sliders to a pasta bar to sushi. We chose the salmon and short ribs for dinner, which we selected during a private tasting session. The hotel grounds, filled with foliage, were perfect for photos, especially as we were lucky to have beautiful fall colors for our shoot. Victoria at the Hilton was incredibly helpful with coordinating room blocks, hotel room gift bags, and storage. Vivian was a dream to work with—she was welcoming, communicative, and made everything run smoothly. Her checklist was a lifesaver for keeping track of details, and she was hands-on with day-of coordination, ensuring everyone knew where they needed to be and helping with the little touches that made everything perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help make our wedding day unforgettable!

I don't even know where to begin — our June 13th, 2025 wedding at the Olde Mill Inn was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived to the final sendoff, it felt like we had stepped straight into a Hallmark movie. The Setting We used both the Grain House and the Grand Ballroom, and each space had its own charm. Our ceremony took place in the courtyard, and it was absolutely magical — the gardens, the stone walls, the romantic ambiance... it all felt timeless and intimate. We had about 100 guests, and everyone kept commenting on how beautiful and well-thought-out everything was. The Team Lea and John were nothing short of amazing. Lea was with us every step of the way through the planning process, answering all our questions (and calming my nerves more than once). John, our maître d’, was a dream on the day of — he made sure we were always taken care of, that everything ran smoothly, and that we actually got to eat during cocktail hour and dinner (which so many brides don’t!). The Experience It’s honestly hard to pick one thing I loved most because everything — the service, the food, the atmosphere, the convenience of having our guests stay on-site — was perfect. The staff made us feel like royalty, but also like family. Every detail felt intentional and personalized. It wasn’t just a wedding; it was an experience. A Moment I’ll Never Forget There was a quiet moment after the ceremony, before heading to cocktail hour, when John pulled us aside, gave us a glass of champagne, and let us soak it all in — just the two of us. That pause, in the middle of such a whirlwind day, meant the world. Final Thoughts If you're considering the Olde Mill Inn for your wedding, don’t hesitate. The entire day felt like it was lifted from a movie set, but it was our movie — beautiful, heartfelt, and joy-filled. We had the best day of our lives at the Madison Hotel! We actually found them through Zola, having never heard of them before. When we toured, we fell in love with the Conservatory, which is ultimately where we had our ceremony and reception. The day was amazing - the food was delicious (and there was so much of it!), the hotel was beautiful, and it was convenient having our guests onsite for all activities (like our after party). I only deducted one star due to communication; I felt like most of the communication was driven by us, such as scheduling our final venue walkthrough. Everyone was very helpful, but I would have liked a bit more communication as a type A planner. Other than that, we couldn’t have asked for a better celebration of our love.

Our guests were enchanted by the skyline views and the delicious bites and drinks. Everyone was very impressed by the turnover from ceremony space to reception. It was incredibly quick and smooth. The team was a well oiled machine, They handled every transition and any small hiccup with precision and grace. The personal attention given to the couple throughout the reception was greatly appreciated. My husband and I were thrilled with the Princeton Marriott At Forrestal for our wedding venue. Overall, their communication was great - there were a few delays early on, but as we got within 2-3 weeks of the wedding, they were on top of everything and made sure we had all the information we needed. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and they gave us the flexibility to make the space our own. Megan, the director, is an absolutely dream to work with. quick responses, explains everything clearly, a sweetheart. Hotel is super clean, the food is amazing and the staff were lovely. The Maitre De went missing a lot throughout the day, to the point where my uncle had to find her whenever i needed. They set up & cleaned everything up for us which was lovely. the hotel bar stayed open late (sunday wedding) but you couldn’t make it private. so you had people at the bar trying to add to an open tab. you get a room block, the director of rooms Rebecca is very easy to work with as well. the outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous!!! The Sheraton was excellent and we had a great stay. They were very accommodating and the hotel itself was beautiful. The rooms were large. I had a suite and my bridal party of 5 with both moms fit comfortably to get ready the day of. Highly recommend!!

The Shore Club was a cost-effective choice for our wedding venue. The communication with their event coordinator was direct, easy and quick, making planning straightforward. While the venue itself is dated with a basic design, we felt it was a good value for the price. The simple layout allowed us to decorate the space and make it our own for the big day. Guests commented that they enjoyed the food. We had about 170 people in their large ballroom and it was packed. I wouldn’t recommended for parties closer to 200, unless able to max out all tables at 10-12 guests. For couples looking for an affordable venue option without too many frills, The Shore Club offers convenience and practicality.

We had our wedding at Hotel du Village on March 16th, 2025 and cannot share enough good things about this venue. From start to finish, the HDV team truly made planning our wedding a seamless & stress-free process. You can always tell when the team that works at a venue genuinely enjoys what they do - every single person who was working there the night of our wedding genuinely cared that my husband & I enjoyed each moment and had everything we could possibly need to make the day go smoothly. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking and our guests would not stop gushing about it’s charm. We’re so happy they saw the same beauty in it that we did! The Chateau style reception was perfect for our guests, blocking dinner at the beginning of the reception & letting guests have free reign of the venue for the last two hours of the night for dessert & dancing. Our guests used the fire pit areas for roasting s’mores & smoking cigars all night! The food at our cocktail hour and dinner received rave reviews - specifically the lobster rolls & Marseille stations! The passed hors d’oeuvres were also absolutely fantastic. We loved the Mac & cheese, spring rolls, and lamb chops (to name a few). We also just wanted to call out a few MVPs on the HDV team: Alyssa, our event coordinator, was an incredible resource & always found a way to accommodate our requests. As an interior designer by trade, I was very picky with where florals, accessories and furniture were placed, but she ALWAYS found a way to make it work & never once made me feel like my requests were crazy, even if they were! Irene, our morning bridal attendant, was amazing and took great care of my husband & I the morning of the wedding. She was a vital part in the setup of the venue the morning of the wedding and our vision wouldn’t have come to life with our her guidance. Larry, the hotel manager, is the most kind & patient man we’ve ever met. He made sure all guests staying on the property were comfortable and had everything they needed at the hotel & cottage. He was also involved in so many other aspects of the day, including set up at the venue the morning of our wedding. You can tell he’s a vital part of the team at HDV and we couldn’t imagine the day going as smoothly as it had if he wasn’t there! Agnes, the afternoon/evening bridal attendant, was truly a super-hero. She seemed to be everywhere at once, had anything you could possibly need in her tool belt, and made sure you never had to ask for a single thing - she already had it taken care of! I never had to pick up my own dress train/veil as we moved around the property to take photos, or go to the bar for my own drinks. She had it taken care of before we could even think to make the request! Our wedding day was incredible because of these people & the others on staff at Hotel du Village. Three days have passed and our family & friends are STILL talking about how incredible the venue & HDV team was!

Overall, we are happy with our wedding day. The Mansion is in the process of being renovated/restored and so far it is looking beautiful! The hotel rooms were recently updated and guests were happy with them. The food was also FANTASTIC! (All of our guests were raving about all of the food). They clearly are a well oiled machine when it comes to throwing weddings. We also had our welcome dinner there the night before, which went amazingly and there was so much food everyone was happy! However, there were a few hiccups that bothered us considering how much money is put into having a wedding & how this venue does weddings all.the.time. so expectations are high. In the planning process, the event coordinator position was replaced 3 times in the year we were planning our wedding with them, the last replacement being the week before our wedding. The final replacement did not have any of our vendor info or cake selections and called me 4 days before my wedding about it (...scary). It must've been a miscommunication from the coordinator prior to her, as that girl never responded to any of our emails; I'm sure she did not keep any notes. The current coordinator also could not answer simple questions our friends/family asked her and was very pushy. On our wedding day, I was paired with a Maitre D who was very sweet, but I'm not sure about her "years" of experience that she claimed to have. While taking photos with our photographer she wasn't paying attention and wasn't fixing my dress/veil every time wind blew it out of place so the photographer had to leave his place each time to fix it himself (it was a windy day so this happened a lot). The photographer also asked her to assist in a "veil toss" shot and she ripped the veil from my head, yanking my head back, when she was just supposed to toss it up in the air. It hurt and pulled on my hair style that was supposed to last all night. I mentioned before the food was excellent, and the Chef is incredible. However, when we booked our venue last year, we were adamant about wanting a real wedding cake--not a fake one you cut one slice into for pictures. We were told by one of the event planners there that all tiers were going to be real cake, but during our cake cutting, we cut into styrofoam...it was disappointing. The cake they served was delicious, but we thought we were paying for a real cake because we were told it would be 100% real. We probably would not have booked this venue had we known we'd get a fake cake; it was something my dad made sure to ask at every venue we checked out, it was important to him. Additionally, some rude comments were overheard by our guests made by various staff members about our wedding. As a business owner whose business is to also provide a service, that is absolutely unacceptable, especially while on the job where people can hear you. Jazmin, the Chef, and the front desk ladies were very pleasant and professional to work with, but no one else there seemed to know what they were doing. It ended up working out but again, with how many weddings this place throws, you'd expect a better level of professionalism.

My husband and I wanted to express our sincere gratitude for the overall beauty and charm of Grand Cascades Lodge, which made our wedding day truly memorable. The stunning views, exquisite grounds, and the spacious Emerald ballroom were perfect for our celebration. Working with Jean and Sara was generally a positive experience, and their welcoming attitude during our visits meant a lot to us. However, I wanted to share some constructive feedback regarding the planning process. While our customization requests were accommodated, there were communication challenges, especially on the day of the wedding, with multiple points of contact. The food tasting experience was delightful, and we appreciate the effort in accommodating our preferences. Although some dishes at the cocktail hour were well-received, the braised beef dish didn't meet the standard set during the tasting. Unfortunately, there were a few issues during the weekend that impacted our experience: - The memory table candles were not lit until late in the reception, despite prior requests. - Our sweetheart table had a wrinkled tablecloth, affecting the overall presentation. - The florist's flowers for the cake were left with the kitchen staff, and despite assurances, they were not added as planned. - The shuttle service delay inconvenienced elderly guests who had to wait longer than expected. Additionally shuttle service that was promised during the after party did not work as agreed upon. While these points highlight areas for improvement, we want to emphasize our appreciation for the positive aspects of our celebration. We understand that events may encounter unforeseen challenges, and we believe that sharing our experience can contribute to enhancing future events at GCL. If you’re thinking about booking The Atlantis Ballroom as your venue, DO IT!!!! I literally cannot recommend them enough. LONG story short, we were two days away from our wedding and got a call our venue could no longer accommodate us. Realizing we had no time to panic and had to figure something out, my (now) husband suggested that we check out the Atlantis Ballroom because he’s been to several events there and they had always been nice. Not only were they able to make an entire wedding happen in just TWO DAYS notice, but they went above and beyond! Everyone we dealt with was so friendly. The food was AMAZING. Our cake was so cute! Literally everything was better than perfection. They had a huge supply of decorations/colors/etc. that we were able to pick for them to use to decorate the ballroom and for the cocktail hour. They also used some of our own stuff at our request since I already worked so hard on it. They were able to accommodate every single person who had a dietary restriction (keto, GF, allergies). We got married 3 months ago and every time I see anyone that was at our wedding, they rave about how it was the best and most fun wedding they ever went to! We wouldn’t have been able to do it without Jen and everyone else at The Atlantis Ballroom. There’s no way you’ll be disappointed in your choice by going with The Atlantis Ballroom for any of your events! I know I’ll definitely host any of my events there and I recommend to everyone I know.
