Welcome to 42 West! Congrats on your special day! We are situated in a 50 year old building right in the middle of the hustle bustle of the West Side. Our space has all new upgrades and the warmth of unique brick touches. We are one of the newest independent venues on the west side of Atlanta with the only true outdoor space. Our stunning large iron doors open to our beautifully lit patio. Our entrance to venue is super unique and hidden. You guests will be so shocked when the wind their way to the space! This venue is for couple who want an industrial feel, with high ceilings and high end finishes. We can't wait to hear from you.

1910. That’s when this studio was built. That’s more than 100 years ago. Before the Titanic. Before World War I. Of course, when they built it they didn’t know it was a studio. They thought they’d built a factory for transforming raw cotton into fire-retardant fabrics. And they did just that for about 84 years. Next came a few years of hand-wringing and a few more of neglect and abandonment. In 2007, they finally turned it over to Jason Ivany. He set it back on track and transformed it into the daylight studio it was always meant to be just before the 100 year mark.

The epitome of industrial chic, our main event space features an impressive wrought iron entrance that welcomes guests into an open and airy space with original hardwoods, exposed brick, vaulted ceilings, and warm natural light. A 1920’s inspired space, the Cellar, harkens back to Prohibition days with original stonework and vintage lighting. This hidden gem, located below the main floor, features cozy lounge furniture, an oversized antique safe, stone walls, and whimsical lighting. Experience the magic of the city from our Rooftop Terrace, an intimate open air space with a captivating panorama of the Atlanta skyline. Get a stunning view of some of Atlanta’s most notable landmarks — the SkyView Ferris Wheel, CNN Center, Mercedes Benz Stadium, Georgia Aquarium, and the Midtown cityscape are all in view. The venue’s 32 sky boxes are also available for unique small meetings and events with fantastic views of Bobby Dodd Stadium and historic Grant Field – the oldest on-campus stadium in the NCAA.
