“In October of 2019, the love my life proposed to me. All excited and bushytail from the engagement I immediately started planning our wedding that night. Before 9pm I had our date set, May 15, 2021. I had asked a few people I knew what was the one thing they wished they could have redone or really could not live without. Most said "if you're going to spend money on a photographer, make sure to get a professional with plenty of experience." So I took those words and ran with it. Fast forward spring of 2020, COVID is new and at its prime. I stressed about getting a photographer and meeting one. That's when I found Courtney. From the first message I sent her, she made me feel at ease. She set up our first meeting over zoom and went through everything with us. Budget, theme, and most importantly what we wanted out of our photographer. She was very professional and set us up with a payment plan for the wedding package. Fast forward to our engagement session with her, she made everything go so smoothly as we did not have to worry about posing or being uncomfortable. The pictures were absolutely beautiful. Comes May 15, 2021 as any bride would be the nerves are as high as they can be. My soon to be husband has a large family so this weeding was bigger than expected. Courtney laid everything out and immediately went to work. Working around everyone. She already had a few things planned out and asked if there were anything we wanted specifically that we may have forgotten to tell her. She made me feel so at ease. The pictures we recieved were absolutely breathtaking and incredible. Courtney has been one of the most understanding and professional people I have ever met. Since our marriage in 2021 we have welcomed a beautiful baby girl in which Courtney done her newborn session and is about to do more photos for us. You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!

“Wow… I don’t even know where to start, but the stars literally aligned with Dani (and Jed) from Elle & Co Photography. I found Dani while scrolling bridal Facebook groups, which can be… a lot. Trying not to assume the worst from all the horror stories. I came across her and immediately knew she was it. I sent the message and crossed my fingers. Her photos were exactly the vibe we were going for. We chose to elope near Sleeping Bear Dunes for a reason… the color of the water, the fall tones, all of it. And Mother Nature gave us the most imperfectly perfect day. Wind, sand, rain… you name it. THANKFULLY we had Dani to capture it all. The amount of time, energy, and care she put into our day (and our reception back in Indy... we booked her for both) was beyond anything we expected. Her communication was top notch. She scouted, scouted, and then scouted again. Plans, backup plans, backup backup plans… which we absolutely needed. Most importantly she kept us on. time! We literally showed up to our ceremony spot and got hit with a “nope, not today” thanks to a government shutdown… even though we had permits and confirmations. But Dani already had her little hidden gem location ready to go, and it ended up being incredible. Like… better than what we had originally planned. And let’s talk about the conditions… late October on Lake Michigan, 25 mph winds, sand flying everywhere, and easily 10,000 steps trekking through dunes to chase the best views. Dani was everywhere at once making sure we got every shot. And Jed… running through sand like he trained for this moment. The two of them together are the dream team. Whatever it takes, they make it happen. They didn’t miss a single moment. From travel time to the ceremony, to the little in-between shots… even getting the perfect fall leaves shot with the Sleeping Bear Dunes sign (yes, it took a plenty of tries and yes, it was worth it). Champagne, lanterns, sparklers back at the domes… they captured all of it. And gave us just enough direction so we looked our best without ever feeling staged. And even after all of that, Dani went back and edited like crazy to balance out the fact that while we "looked fine"… we were most definitely freezing. The final photos are unreal. Our day was made by friends, family, and chosen family… and we’re so happy to add Dani and Jed to that circle. #PhotosToFriends for life!”

“My husband and I got engaged in 2023 and had planned for our wedding to be in July of 2025. For two years one of our biggest challenges was finding a photographer that was in our budget, that would still provide us with the perfect product we had invisioned in our minds. We had searched high and low finding MANY photographers that will say they can adjust their packages to fit our budget, and still somehow come up with a total of 4000 dollars. Then we found Sam. I was hesitant at first because I wanted a specific style I hadn’t seen in her galleries, a more sultry- whimsical- cinematic/ dramatic candid feel. However when I brought that up to Sam she had reassured me that her range of editorial styles and shooting styles was very large as she’s been doing this for YEARS, and had sent me some separate more recent shots she had taken to prove that. We had talked very in detail for days about the hours ineeded from her, pricing, I also explained she would be traveling (which is never a problem for Sam. She loves traveling! ) and we had made a very well customized package trimmed to fit my hours and budget. In the end I received ALL the pictures taken edited exactly how we wanted them. On the wedding day Sam did an amazing job of helping, taking charge of things, and making sure all of our needs were met. I swear she was half wedding planner half photographer. If I needed people to do something she made it happen if I needed people to start getting ready for pictures-she was on it. Her time management is absolutely insane and such a blessing to have on your wedding day. She had some of the best ideas I’ve ever heard when it came to certain poses I wanted accomplished or specific visions I had. She was energetic, hilarious, and made sure everyone had the best time taking these pictures. I couldn’t recommend Sam enough. She truly is a photography wizard and will have all of your wedding day dreams come true.”

I started photography in 2017 and after being a part of many weddings, engagements, and family sessions, I still love what I do and I am deeply dedicated to serving my clients. I consider myself a storyteller and love capturing the little details, the half-smiles, and the simple motions. For me, it is about seeing the real, the lovely, and the messy moments, the everyday magic that tells the stories of our lives. Each wedding and session has its own unique story to tell and I challenge myself to capture those stories through my camera as best as I can and would be honored to capture yours too!
