Acquaviva Winery was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. Mia went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We had a great experiences from our first time touring the venue, to our tasting, rehearsal, and finally wedding day. The grounds are gorgeous, and the event space is breathtaking. We were able to start our wedding day in the guest house for getting ready. It is the perfect space for hair and makeup and has a private groom's suite in the basement to keep the bride and groom separate. The ceremony space was set up beautifully with the chairs and it was easy for guests to be shuttled and ushered to the vineyard. There were unlimited spots for beautiful photos. Cocktail hour was a success with the huge patio space and extra patio bar. The tables were set perfectly for dinner and everyone gave amazing reviews on the food. The wait staff was very attentive and the timing of all the courses being served kept the dinner flowing. The firework show was a perfect add-on to the day. The show was spectacular and our guests are still talking about it! The entire staff at Acquaviva made us feel welcome and provided an easy planning experience for us. Everything went perfectly!

Northfork Farm hosted our absolute dream wedding! The venue was absolutely gorgeous, and everyone was great to work with! Pete answered all of our questions throughout the process, and Leann took the day of stress away! We had multiple meetings with Leann before the wedding to communicate our vision, and get a full walkthrough of what we wanted the day to look like. Day of, all we had to do was bring her our stuff (which we actually got to do the night before at the rehearsal which was a bonus!) and she took care of the rest. She set everything up exactly how I envisioned it, and allowed my husband and I to just live in the moment rather than feeling like we were working or hosting. The property was gorgeous and incredibly well maintained. We had access to it all day and the salon was the perfect space to get ready in. There are tons of great places for photos, and some fun things that you don’t get anywhere. One, the horses! They are so friendly and adorable. Two, the fire pit! We had s’mores as a late night snack which our guests loved. And three, the pool! The pool is was what made my husband and I fall in love with the venue because we immediately knew we wanted to jump in at the end of the night. Pete set up the perfect send off and we ran through a sparkler send off and jumped right in. Our day was perfect, and the venue was everything we dreamed.

September stands as Illinois' most popular wedding month so you'll need to book well in advance. Most venues are secured about 15 months (457 days) ahead with venue inquiries typically representing couples' first wedding planning step. Look for venues offering comprehensive packages that include essentials like tables chairs and audio equipment. This approach often delivers better value than piecing services together separately.

Can Illinois Venues Accommodate Remote Wedding Participants?

While traditional venues might not explicitly advertise advanced remote participation many can adapt for hybrid events. Consider working with places like Cheney Mansion Starved Rock Lodge or Mt. Zion Convention Center to implement interactive elements beyond basic streaming. You could incorporate virtual reality experiences or live polls to keep remote guests fully engaged in your celebration.
