What is The Homestead 1854 Maximum Capacity?

For weddings held in May through October, TH1854 can accommodate up to 125 guests for an outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. For these weddings, the ceremony is usually held on the labyrinth, cocktail hour on the front lawn, dinner in the Timber Tent and dancing on the patio.

How do I hold the date/book?

Accepted Answer

After viewing the property (in-person or virtual) only a signed contract and non-refundable booking fee guarantees the space and service. We work on a first come first serve basis.

Do You Host Weddings On Holiday Weekends?

Yes, and there is a $1000 holiday weekend premium rate add-on.

What form of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Cash, Credit Card or Check. Please note that if payment is made by credit card, there is a 3.0% credit card surcharge.

What Is My Payment Schedule?

Accepted Answer

Payments are due in accordance with your originally signed terms agreements. Fifty percent of the total is due 180 days prior to the wedding date and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date.

Can We Change Our Date?

Yes, there is a $1,000 date change fee and it must be done 120 days prior to the original wedding date.

Can We Bring In Any Of Our Own Food?

You can choose your own caterer and bakery, but all food must come from a licensed/insured company.

Can We Select a Caterer of our Choice?

Accepted Answer

Yes: we have a list of preferred caterers that we know do an amazing job, but you are also welcome to choose caterers not from our list.

Yes: we'll just need to plan to floor space with you and your caterer.

You can schedule tastings with caterers before you decide who to use.

Dinner service is plated style. We order the food per plate, thus, there is no leftover food. In the event you or a guest does not eat everything on your or their plate, we do not box for take home

Are There Any Vendor Restrictions?

Accepted Answer

We have provided a preferred professionals list for you to select from. If you have someone you would like to bring who isn’t on that list, they need to comply with our vendor requirements including being fully insured. If they are a licensed operation, they are probably already compliant but verification is required.
