Established in 2006, Machines with Magnets is a contemporary art gallery, cocktail bar, event and performance venue, and renowned recording studio. ‍ Our versatile event space offers carefully selected Danish Modern details in a non-traditional layout. Inviting, memorable, and hospitality-driven - perfect for both intimate gatherings and glamorous galas. ‍ Two distinct indoor spaces - the venue and gallery - comprise our 2,000 square foot event space. Little Gold is an intimate and fully curated space. We are an ideal location for couples who want to enjoy a small celebration with all of the charm and comforts of being in a beautiful home. We have a salon, dining area and lounge with a bar front and offer glassware, flatware and a range of dishes, serving utensils and vases for our clients to use. While we do not have a full kitchen, we offer a prep space to prepare, store and serve food. Our space is ideal for catered bites and cocktail foods. We are also a unique and special option for wedding parties to prep for the big day. We are steps away from the heart of downtown Newport and located close to many bars, restaurants and hotels.

This Victorian treasure was built in the late 1880s, and originally served as the county courthouse. It’s been lovingly restored, and boasts a two-story theater space with an exquisitely embellished ceiling and wraparound mezzanine balcony. In the warmer months, ceremonies may be held in Centanni Courtyard. This airy outdoor space continues the historic feel of the Arts Center with lawns, a large arbor, and brick pathways. Your rental fee helps support the Center’s mission: to educate the community about diversity through the presentation of multicultural arts programs, and to make the center available to artists and groups who may not otherwise have access to a professionally equipped space.

Boston Opera House first opened in 1928 as the B.F Keith Memorial Theater.
