It's easy to reach out to them, make requests, talk through specific needs, and get their input on what works well for our event/venue/lighting/etc. Their photos always exceed expectations with dynamic, fun images capture the feeling of the event.
I'd like to share a recent experience with Stefanie Haviv at our 250 person company Christmas party. The event, a formal event at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC, had a special focus to celebrate our company's founder's retirement. The event was structured similarly to a wedding with sections of planned speaking and unstructured mingling time. We had very specific things we needed captured for the structured activity, but we had fewer instructions for the free-form periods.
Stefanie nailed the specific images we wanted and recorded these key moments so well. Her talent was most evident, however, in her candid photography. We weren't sure exactly what we wanted image-wise for the unstructured portions of the evening. Stefanie took it upon herself to find the most touching, personal, lively moments of the event to tell the party's story. Her work is dynamic and adaptable, and she was able to use the space's lighting and the crowd's energy to create images we loved.
