“Working with True Vermont Beauty was wonderful from start to finish. Liesel was communicative and professional in her response to my initial inquiry, and the survey/questionnaire that was sent to me helped me and my bridesmaids start thinking about what we wanted style-wise. Andrea and Karla did both my bridal trial and were our day of artists – and they were both truly wonderful. For the trial – I was offered a variety of options and I really felt like the look I ended up with was something that was truly me and that would last all day (I'm an easy crier). The team also provided great logistics info like start times and when to be ready so that we had a realistic timeline to get everything done for a first look at 2PM. They also worked really well with my florist – who was providing a floral hairpiece, and worked the floral arrival time into the timeline. Day of – Andrea and Karla were wonderful. They moved through 7 hair services and 5 makeup services, they even ran early, and everyone looked so beautiful! They were also super fun, and we had a great time chatting throughout the morning. The mood was great to say the least. My hair stayed in place until the end of the night when I took it out around midnight, and the same thing with my makeup. Everything stayed exactly as it was, no movement, no running, no smearing – which was just incredible because not only did I walk around in some light rain but it was also quite warm AND I cried several times. So – absolute kudos to this team, I can’t recommend them highly enough!”

“Johanna Sorrell was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. We were so lucky to be connected with Jo so early on in our planning process. The best advice we got was to pick a photographer we felt connected to since we would be spending by far the most amount of time with them on our wedding day. I didn't want my wedding to feel like a photoshoot. Once the ceremony was over I just wanted to enjoy myself. She really honored that request. Jo was so invested in our wedding. From our very first interaction, Johanna was efficient, attentive, and timely in communication, often providing long and thoughtful responses to our many questions. We chatted on the phone, had zoom calls, and met in person prior to the big day. She really wanted to make sure she understood our vision. We were lucky enough to get to do our engagement photos last summer with Jo. When I say she was lying in the middle of the street while we were driving at her on a vespa.. I mean it. “We knew we wanted to have Kris as our wedding photographer the minute we ended our initial consultation meeting, and we are so glad that we did. At our engagement photoshoot, we were worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera, but she instantly made us feel comfortable; eventually, we were laughing and having so much fun that we forgot it was our engagement photoshoot. On our wedding day, she and Mike were an absolute dream team. They handled everything flawlessly—from corralling our families (some of whom didn’t show up on time and also don’t speak English well…), to helping a stressed-out groom and best man with their ties and boutonnières, to dabbing a sweaty bride’s face with their own shirts, to hyping us up and making us laugh when we started to get nervous before the ceremony. We so appreciate having had them on our side to help us through the day. It was also amazing to see how cooperative, respectful, and professional Kris and Mike were with our videographers (Hindsight Wedding Films, who we also recommend!). They all worked together seamlessly to make sure that they had the right shots, lighting, composition, etc. and we had nothing to worry about. You get so much more than a photographer when you book Kris. You get someone who will quickly respond to all of your questions, someone who will beautifully capture every moment of your day and help you relive it, someone who will handle snafus behind the scenes and you won’t even realize it, and someone who genuinely cares about you and will treat your day like it’s the most important event in the world.”

“Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. You will not regret choosing him to DJ at your wedding, party, event. Whatever it is, Brian is a huge value add and a pleasure to work with.”
