The Best Hawaiian Wedding Catering in Calabasas, CA

“I found Fusion Events LA while searching for wedding vendors because I wanted catering that our guests would actually remember—not just typical wedding food. After reading so many great reviews, I called Felicia, and from our first conversation I knew I wanted to work with her. She was so welcoming, organized, and genuinely cared about bringing our vision to life. When our original venue fell through, Felicia stepped in with her day-of coordination services, and I couldn’t be more grateful. On our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly. I DIY’d a lot of our décor, and her team set everything up beautifully, exactly how I had envisioned it. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and our guests are still talking about it! From catering to coordination, bartending, servers, and décor setup, Fusion Events LA truly does it all. I can’t thank Felicia and her team enough for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of. I highly recommend them!”

“Since our venue did not have a preferred vendor list or a built-in catering team, we were given maximum flexibility (which is also intimidating, as the choice and freedom can be a bit overwhelming). To help narrow things down, our planner prompted us to choose a single type of cuisine that we like, and work from there. We both love New Orleans / Cajun cuisine, so enter My House. From their first proposal, we were all in. It featured childhood favorites like fried catfish, and out-of-the-ordinary passed appetizers like mini chicken & waffles. Our first calls with them were relaxed, collaborative and informative. Our first tasting, while kinda pricey (isn't everything?), went really well - and gave us a chance to provide more feedback and tweaks, which were promptly applied to later estimates and menus. As our planning evolved, it was a little tough to try to keep the budget in check, and it meant making some tough calls to cut costs (for instance - jettisoning late night bites), My House was always willing to work with both us and our planner on finding financial solutions - but there were a few moments where we felt like we didn't know what to expect, and stressed out a bit when we saw the latest numbers. I suppose this is part of the process for lots of couples. I never lost faith that they'd turn it out on the big day, and I'm happy to share that they did just that. They created an incredibly tasteful display for our buffet, which struck a balance between rustic and elegant. The staff was helpful, efficient, and professional - but I want to give special highlight to Simone. Simone was personable, diligent and intuitive. She knows exactly what she's doing, any couple would be very lucky to have her running any aspect of their event - because she does it with aplomb. The food was absolutely delicious. Big, bold flavors - zesty, crunchy, creamy, smoky, cheesy, sweet and spicy and everything in between . We loved hosting such a delectable menu that departed from the traditional wedding fare, but stayed true to the cuisine of New Orleans and the tastes of Southern comfort. So, so, so, so good!”

Buddha Boy Tacos

“We were introduced to Buddha Boy Tacos through a friend who had them cater their wedding, and we’re so glad we took the recommendation. From the start, we were impressed by their menu, especially the variety of vegetarian and vegan taco fillings. Buddha Boy delivered premium service every step of the way. They were responsive, professional, and communicative, always quick to reply or thoughtful enough to let us know when they’d follow up soon. On the day of the wedding, they were efficient, warm, and completely reliable. They set up two lines for faster service, treated our guests with such kindness, and helped create a joyful, welcoming atmosphere. They coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors and ensured everyone was well-fed and on schedule. The food itself was a massive hit-guests raved to us, unprompted, that it was the best meal they’d ever had at a wedding. From appetizers to entrees and desserts, everything was delicious. We can’t wait to have them cater another event and enjoy their food all over again!”

Summit Event Catering

“We got married in Long Beach, CA on 10/12/24 and all of our guests said Summit's food was THE BEST they had ever been served at wedding! I cannot recommend Summit Event Catering more! Pamela Aki especially was fantastic to work with. We chose the plated option for a guest count of just under 160 guests. We found the prices to be reasonable as compared to other vendors, and the quality of the menu, ingredients, and overall taste to be outstanding! Additionally, Summit allowed us to make several reasonable alterations to our chosen package, which we were really grateful for, due to several guest allergies, etc! Pam was incredibly communicative throughout our entire working relationship and we are so grateful. She made the process so easy! On our wedding day, everything went smoothly and the Summit staff was fantastic. We look back at the catering portion of our wedding with fond memories. Thank you Summit & Pam!”

“Working with Chef Cooper was straightforward and easy. We were having the wedding in our backyard, so did not have an industrial kitchen and were renting everything. He was super great about letting us know exactly what he would need considering the circumstances which ending up being very reasonable as he could use our kitchen and brought a lot of his own supply. The day of, Chef Cooper and his team were friendly, on-time, and handled all the details! The food was super tasty and fresh. There was a really nice range on the menu and our guests with dietary restrictions had great alternatives that fit right in. I would definitely recommend and would hire again!”

They were very kind and helpful during the process and worked with our venue to sort out any kinks before the wedding day, which we greatly appreciated as our venue struggled with communication. Chef Anna Masteller

“We called Chef Anna “the Zen Chef” because she radiated calm and warmth every time she cooked or dropped off meals. On our wedding day, she was the one vendor who was fully calm, centered, and confident, an incredibly grounding presence for everyone. We had six meals with her, from the welcome dinner to brunches, reception, and an unforgettable late-night spread. She handled everything; shopping, cooking, cleanup and made us feel deeply cared for as a family during our long wedding weekend on Figure Eight Island, NC. Aside from cooking, which she obviously loves, she said her favorite part of her business is helping people make the most of their time together, and that was absolutely true for us. It felt like we bought the gift of time, which is priceless. And we can’t stop talking about the food. Literally better than any restaurant, truly. As a group of well-traveled foodies, that says a lot. Thank you, Chef Anna, for becoming one of our favorite core memories. We’ve already booked her for our anniversary trip to Wrightsville Beach next year.”

Star Valley Foods

“We had the absolute pleasure of having Star Valley Foods cater our 20th wedding anniversary celebration, and to say they exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The food was not only superb in taste but also presented so beautifully that our guests have not stopped talking about the dishes, the attention to detail, and the way every plate felt like an experience itself. They took time to understand our vision and executed it with perfection. The night began with appetizers that included lemon-poached shrimp that were perfectly tender, light, and bursting with citrusy flavor. The stuffed mushrooms with pecorino and panko gave them a savory crunch that made them addictive, and the charcuterie skewers were colorful, delicious, and creative. But it didn't stop there. The Italian focus of the menu was nothing short of spectacular. The meatballs were unforgettable and seasoned in a way that had even the Italians in the room nodding with approval. Several guests commented that they were the best meatballs they'd ever tasted. The rigatoni with Bolognese sauce was rich, hearty and layered with authentic flavor, and the chicken cutlets with lemon and Parmesan were both stars of the evening-- so delicious that guests were going back for seconds (and thirds). To finish the night, dessert was a sweet surprise of tiramisu with whipped mascarpone and aginetti sprinkle cookies. Star Valley Foods delivered more than just a meal; they created an experience that elevated our celebration and left every one of our guests raving. Most importantly, the people behind this company are as professional as they are kind- genuinely sweet, attentive, and caring in a way that made us feel special and celebrated right alongside our guests. We couldn't be happier and can't recommend them enough.”
