Working with our florist was an absolute pleasure. When we first met, I was envisioning soft, neutral florals. As our wedding plans evolved, I completely changed direction and decided to go with bold, vibrant blues and oranges instead. She embraced the new vision without hesitation and executed it flawlessly. The final arrangements were even more beautiful than I imagined. Every bouquet, centerpiece, and floral detail perfectly matched our style and brought so much life and personality to our wedding day. She truly understood my vision and made it a reality. One of the things I appreciated most was her commitment to sustainability. She connected us with an organization that repurposes wedding flowers so they could continue bringing joy to others instead of being thrown away after the event. That meant so much to us and was such a thoughtful service to offer. If you're looking for a florist who is incredibly talented, flexible, and genuinely cares about both her couples and the impact of her work, I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Honeysuckle Farm
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Brightwood, VA

Honeysuckle Farm is a small flower farm and design studio located in Madison County, VA. We provide arrangements for weddings, events, and special occasions. Our arrangements feature locally and American grown blooms and we practice a sustainable, foam-free approach to floral design.

Awarded Best of Zola
Many amazing qualities - from the sustainable use of in-season plants, aromatic plants, and willingness to help transform bridesmaids bouquets to center-pieces post ceremony, I couldn't recommend Honeysuckle Farm enough. What I appreciated even more was her flexibility in working with my budget - while several florists in the area turned me down when I wasn't able to meet larger minimums, Honeysuckle Farms listened to my priorities list and crafted an offer tailored to what I most wanted. Totally transparent pricing and high-quality work. Florals were not my priority, so we didn't communicate too frequently. When we did speak Honeysuckle was kind, considerate, and showed she was thoughtful and deliberate in questions/responses. I think the communication quantity would have changed if I had more specific requests or a larger purchase. My jaw DROPPED when I saw the wedding arch she made for me. This was far beyond my wildest dreams and (I felt) a REALLY good price. Would recommend Honeysuckle to anyone, but particularly for folks who aren't looking to spend 5k for bouquets and basics***(obviously pricing is based on market and seasonality).

I was initially very skeptical of online flower rental companies, but we are SO THRILLED and grateful for using SBB. Something Borrowed Blooms proved to be responsive and solution-focused, addressing every question we had with speed and clarity. As a summer wedding on Cape Cod we met with some traditional florists and initially received a quote of 7k for real florals! SBB worked with us to create the same stunning look using their silk blooms for just 2k, saving us thousands of dollars without sacrificing beauty and quality! The quality blew us away; our guests were genuinely shocked to learn the flowers weren't real when we told them! The Charlotte Collection was the perfect fit for our vision, and the blooms arrived early in incredible condition. We also used the Mostest package add on for day of coordination and handling the boxes and set up of the flowers. We honestly didn't have to worry about a thing from start to finish, and their easy return process gave us complete peace of mind. Something Borrowed Blooms is a game-changer if you want gorgeous florals that won't drain your budget!!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (94 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Brightwood, VA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
We loved using Flower Moxie! Morgan Wilt helped us put together the perfect cart, they all arrived when they said they would, and the flowers were near perfect. It is time consuming if you're a perfectionist (my bridal party and I spent about 6 hours arranging all of our bouquets, centerpieces, aisle pieces, arch pieces etc.) so don't underestimate the amount of time needed! But overall such a lovely experience and we would recommend it to anyone interested in doing their own florals.

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (78 reviews)
  • Serves Brightwood, VA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Awarded Best of Zola
Woodland Floral Design Co. was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Misha and her team demonstrated a true gift for understanding exactly what we wanted, even when we weren't always sure ourselves. Her calming presence and mind-reader-like intuition put us at ease throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, the floral arrangements and decor they created were nothing short of once-in-a-lifetime magic - our wildest dreams come to life. Every single detail and more was perfectly executed, and Misha even went above and beyond to coordinate with our other vendors to ensure the day was seamless. If you're looking for a florist with God-given talent, look no further than Woodland Floral Design Co. Just go to my Google review, because 500 words will never be enough to describe Misha's incredible abilities. When all your guests just wanna take pics in front of your flowers- you know it’s perfect. I still can’t get over the hair accessories she made me…

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Brightwood, VA

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
I recently had the pleasure of working with The Faux Bouquets for my wedding and couldn't be happier with their service. Their communication through email was great - they were fast, reliable, and very helpful in answering all of my questions. The faux flowers they provided looked and photographed just as if they were real, and the final product was stunning. I would highly recommend The Faux Bouquets to any couple looking for beautiful, high-quality floral arrangements for their wedding.

Cassidy put together the florals for our wedding this weekend. We ordered arbor flowers that Cassidy recycled to our cake and sweetheart table. Unfortunately the wind during the first half of our reception was a little WILD so my current photos of that aren’t able to do it justice until my photos come in. However, I have some photos of the flowers before I sent them off for preservation as well. We also used Cassidy for rentals of pillar candles and bud vases. She assembled those and had welcome table greens for us, my bouquet, and my husband’s boutonniere. I was constantly adding things to the list like some spray flowers for my photographers for my flat lays. But she managed it. Cassidy attended our walk through to make sure that she saw the property and knew where our flowers would be doing. She provided some inspiration photos based on what I wanted and she delivered on that for sure! I think the centerpieces in particular were EXACTLY what I was looking for. She really nailed those and they turned out beautifully. When we didn’t know what we wanted or struggled to get a good vision going, she made some suggestions and went through the pros and cons with me of options. It was great to get her input on things and also trust her perspective as it relates to florals. Thank you so much for a great day!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

Five Stems Farm
Rating: 5.0 (11 reviews)
  • Starts at $500

Flowers have such a magical way of bringing life to events! My favorite part of a wedding is seeing the dream becoming reality during setup. Your flowers should be features that accent your beauty and energy, and I love creating that for you! I started working in floristry while preparing for my own wedding. From elopements with a single bouquet to events with thousands of stems, I’ve loved every opportunity to create something new. When I’m not immersed in “flower town,” as my husband calls it, you can find us and our three kiddos (the five stems!) doing DIY projects around the house, reading outside, or playing MarioKart as a family!

We are so grateful to have had Jessica from Fleurish & Bloom as our wedding florist! She was an absolute joy to work with—sweet, creative, supportive, and incredibly attentive throughout the entire process. The bouquets she created for me and my bridesmaids were absolutely stunning, and they perfectly captured the style and vibe we were hoping for. On the day of the wedding, she even built a gorgeous flower arch onsite just hours before the ceremony—it was breathtaking and one of our favorite décor elements. What really stood out was how budget-conscious she was. Whenever we had new ideas or last-minute requests, she always found thoughtful ways to make them happen without adding unnecessary cost. We truly appreciated her care, talent, and dedication, and we can’t recommend her highly enough!

We hired Paula and Samantha pretty down to the wire of our wedding, but they immediately jumped in! We contacted them on Friday, and they had our proposal ready by Monday! Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! We're gifting a number of our pieces to our mothers and grandmothers as keepsakes from our amazing day, while saving the rest to display around our house! We're so happy to have such beautiful mementoes to remember it by!

Wrachel’s Wreaths
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
  • Starts at $600
  • Serves Brightwood, VA

My business started as a way to bring beauty into my home and into the homes of my loved ones. I wanted to find a balance between sustainability, natural elements and home decor. I have always been inspired by nature and the beautiful landscape it can create and I try to bring that into my work. I specialize in supporting local flower farmers, foraged flowers and working with couples to decorate in a sustainable and cost-effective way.

From our first conversation with Rachel at Wrachel's Wreaths, we knew we were in good hands. She listened carefully to what we wanted and asked thoughtful questions to understand our vision for both our American ceremony and Cambodian reception. Rachel created stunning bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, plus boutonnières and corsages that looked incredible throughout the day. Her florals were so beautiful, we even repurposed the bridesmaid bouquets as centerpiece arrangements at the reception tables for our wedding party. What really impressed us was how punctual and reliable she was. The flowers arrived exactly when we needed them, with no stress or last-minute scrambling. Rachel's work was absolutely gorgeous and her kindness made the whole process feel special. We would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a florist who truly cares about getting every detail right. We are still in awe of our wedding florals from Rachel. Thank you so so much for being part of our wedding weekend!

Zombie Flowers

After the global zombie apocalypse, in the early winter of '24, I heeded the call, picked up my shovel and shotgun and headed out to the fields. Protecting this wide world from the pestilence that is the zombie flower is no small feat, but I've learned to survive. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. Whatever your cup of tea, these zombie flowers are one of a kind prepared just for you.

We used Ash to Oak for an a la carte flower order for our wedding--we ordered a bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages, all of which looked fantastic! I agonized searching for an a la carte florist who would also take some minor input on color and design (many just say you get what you get based on availability), so thank god a friend recommended Ash to Oak! Avery accepted my very simple color and design preferences and created beautiful pieces. She also was able to provide delivery to the venue on the wedding day, another rarity I noticed in my a la carte florist research. I cannot recommend Ash to Oak highly enough!
