We really wanted a DJ that felt different, less cheesy, that could help us create a vibe of a house party with all our friends versus a wedding ballroom. Luckily for us, he had plenty of experience with our venue and we quickly realized Tiger would be one of our vendors we didn’t have to worry about. He played vinyl during our cocktail hour, helped create the most seamless ceremony, added personal touches as our MC, and gave us the greatest dance floor we could have asked for. Super easy to work with, and most importantly we knew we could trust him with our night. If you’re thinking about booking Tiger, just do it, don’t look anywhere else. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!”

“Living Jade was the best decision we made for our wedding vendors. They played at our engagement party in Santa Barbara and our actual wedding in San Francisco. Steve encountered an issue with a band member. The singer got sick the day before the wedding, but he found a replacement that was outstanding. His network of musicians allowed him to resolve a major issue. My husband and I were happy that our contract was respected. On top of that, the energy of the band was amazing on stage. “Before choosing Makai, my partner and I watched videos of at least a dozen DJs. Based on the energy and interactions we saw from Makai, we knew he was the one for us and our wedding day. From our first video call with him, we knew we had struck gold. What was meant to be a one hour zoom call turned into three hours of laughing and sharing stories as if we were old friends who had been separated by time. Makai was patient at every step in our process. He came prepared - he provided us a very helpful packet which enabled us to better organize our event. My partner and I did have many of our own ideas, and Makai graciously worked with every single idea of ours. When our ideas were incomplete or needed tweaking, he came up with creative solutions that incorporated our wants and his experience. After getting off our zoom call with Makai, my partner and I shared a big sigh of relief. In months of planning, most things had been stressful, but working with Makai felt almost too easy. We were very well taken care of. On the day of our event, Makai was early. Makai generously helped with things that were not at all his responsibility. Makai was loved by our guest; he contributed to a great vibe. At our request, Makai helped us stay on track for the whole event, and because of that, everything continued smoothly throughout the evening. Every time I looked at Makai, he had a beaming smile on his face. Even while continuing to enjoy the festivities, Makai’s music was on point. Amongst a handful of other vendors who were also awesome, Makai stands out because his contributions to our day were so impactful. I can’t recommend Makai enough.”

Co-Founder and DJ, Jon has a passion for finding and playing the best tunes, which is the winning combination any client would want for their special occasion. We have planned and DJed many clients’ weddings and events, but it wasn’t after we planned our own wedding in November 2018 that we understood the true stressful reality of planning. Because of this and because we own this business together, we empathize with the strain wedding planning sometimes puts on engaged couples.
