In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Hope Glen Farm was the perfect choice for our wedding venue. From the very first communication, the team was clear, detailed, and incredibly personable. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our special day was executed flawlessly. The coordination meetings leading up to the wedding, along with the helpful client portal, kept us on track and confident that everything would be perfect. On the day of, the staff was amazingly helpful and attentive - Eryka in particular was a true godsend, keeping us organized and responsive to our every need. The Bridal Bliss decor package they offer is a must, as the venue looked absolutely beautiful and pristine. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and feel the value we received was worth every penny. Plus a wedding night in a Tree House or Corn Crib Cottage? How can you beat that?! The Birch Barn is more than just a wedding venue—it’s a love story. Owners Chuck and Dawn built the barn in 2021 on their 60-acre cabin property, specifically for their own wedding day. Every detail of the venue was thoughtfully designed to reflect their love and the importance of family. What started as a deeply personal celebration space has since grown into a beautiful destination for others to begin their own forever. Today, Chuck and Dawn continue to pour their hearts into the Birch Barn, sharing the same care, beauty, and warmth they created for their own special day.

It was such an honor to design flowers for a recent wedding at this stunning new venue. The elevated, upscale barn has a timeless charm with just the right touch of rustic elegance. Bright and airy throughout, this space is the opposite of dark or dingy — it feels fresh, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The spiral staircase and getting-ready rooms are absolutely beautiful and create the perfect setting for those intimate, photo-worthy moments. The outdoor grounds are just as impressive — lush, expansive, and ideal for a ceremony backdrop. Lots of pretty places both inside and outside for your different photos. The staff were also wonderful to work with, and I’m truly grateful I had the opportunity to bring my floral designs to life in such a gorgeous space!
