“Seth was the best wedding DJ that we could have hoped for! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

Not once did I turn around and feel like he had left his station. He was managing the photo booth phenomenally while also providing every song that we had requested on time and with an enthusiastic behavior. He kept the crowd excited. He knew the right times to change the music and he was absolutely hysterical by joking around with our guests and even being playful when introducing key songs. He really cares about his work and the service he provides. He goes above and beyond to make you feel special and taken care of and is someone I would hire for any event that I throw in the future. I had a phenomenal time working with him. I will say don't be stressed if he doesn't respond to your text messages. He is definitely somebody that will answer a phone call more often than a text. But nevertheless, he shows up and provides incredible service with a smile and I couldn't have asked for our event to go any better. He really really did a great job. Just make sure that you put everything you want in his app because he uses that to make sure that he does what you're asking of him. All of your comments all of your needs. Any specific songs you want played are all in there, so be sure to stay on top of that so that you can guarantee a wonderful experience like I had. I can't say this enough. Hire him. “Living Jade was the best decision we made for our wedding vendors. They played at our engagement party in Santa Barbara and our actual wedding in San Francisco. Steve encountered an issue with a band member. The singer got sick the day before the wedding, but he found a replacement that was outstanding. His network of musicians allowed him to resolve a major issue. My husband and I were happy that our contract was respected. On top of that, the energy of the band was amazing on stage. I in particular am very grateful that he was so willing to help me with a special song request which required mixing bits from two songs together for my Father-Daughter dance. He was more than up for the challenge and was so helpful with it! When it came to the actual wedding, he was so kind when introducing himself on our wedding day and did a beautiful job MCing. We wanted more minimal MC work and he nailed it perfectly! He was also super flexible with last minute announcement requests that we had. For example, we realized no one was noticing the anniversary cards we put out for signing at the dinner tables, so we asked him to make a little announcement about it and he did great doing that on the spot! Finally, the music all night was absolutely fantastic. He really listened to what we wanted and he delivered! The music felt very much like “us” and we had so much fun dancing all night long. Everyone kept talking about how great he was and several people said it was the best wedding music they have ever heard. If we ever need a DJ again, without a doubt, we will be hiring DJ Rob!”

“When I say that Dylan and the Moon Units MADE our wedding, I am not exaggerating. They not only delivered, the exceeded our already high expectations in every way possible. Music was extremely important for my husband and me, and we knew immediately that we wanted a live band to elevate the evening. We found Dylan and the Moon Units' information online, and after finding that they were very within our budget we reached out and Dylan invited us to one of their gigs in Hollywood. We loved their vibe and booked them. We asked Dylan to play both our ceremony and our reception, as well as play preset playlists for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour. Now, I must admit, because music was so important for my husband and my special day, we had *very* specific ideas for what we wanted. Dylan was extremely communicative, answering all of my extremely needy and detailed emails in a timely manner and doing everything he could to reassure me that we were in good hands. We made selections from the list of songs they knew, and also asked them to learn about 10 new songs for us, ranging from unique arrangements of existing songs to deep cuts from 90's movies. Dylan's communication was warm, expeditious, and professional, and I felt really well taken care of. At our wedding, though, is where they exceeded our expectations. The live music they played was amazing, and set the tone for our wedding in the exact way we were hoping for. At the reception, they kept the energy up with a perfectly curated playlist of our requests (and we had quite a lot!) songs they knew would keep the party going. Their song choices appealed to the older crowd as well as the Millennial crowd. Dylan even help me set up a surprise performance for my husband, where I sang one of this favorite songs ("Go Cubs Go") with the backing of the Moon Units band. It was an incredibly special moment. And creating special moments was what Dylan and the Moon Units did best. Somehow, they managed to keep the dance floor packed the entire evening. Months after our wedding, our guests have continuously called out Dylan and the Moon Units as an absolute highlight of our wedding, saying that it was musically one of the best weddings they have ever been to. All-in-all, I cannot recommend Dylan and the Moon Units enough. As someone who was VERY specific about the music at my wedding, they exceeded all of our expectations. Book them for your wedding ASAP - you will not be disappointed.”

He did an amazing job of combining the hispanic culture and Spanish speakers from my husband’s side and upbeat pop beats from my side. There was not a single dull moment on the dance floor and I spent half of my wedding getting to dance and drink with my support system. He made it a dream come true. “We hired Bob Gail's dance band "Higher Ground" for our wedding last month at the Bel Air Bay Club. Having a live band at our wedding was always my dream but admittedly not my fiancee's or her family's. Any skepticsim completely evaporated by the time the wedding reception started. Our band--11 pieces, including trombone--was spectacular. I really can't say enough about how fun the evening was with Higher Ground leading the dance floor. We, and all our guests, danced non-stop. From start to finish, the band's song selections perfectly matched the energy throughout the evening. Every member was super talented, with the lead singers perfectly capturing the sound and feel of the original songs but with an energy that is only possible performed live. We were seriously impressed with their sheer versatility, jumping effortlessly between different genres and eras. We also had a few specific requests that the band very flexibily accommodated. We had choreography for our first dance and the band offered to rehearse with us before the reception. We also wanted to play some recorded songs during the band's breaks and they wove our songs into their own set list seamlessly. Bob Gail also offered a very intuitive song selection tool on which we could specify which songs we wanted to hear at the wedding. They even went out of their way to learn a song that was not part of their set list but that they knew we love. The band members were also incredibly friendly and gracious. They felt like a part of the family for the night. Even now, a month after the wedding, we still have family members tell us how great the band was and one guest even told me she can't wait to hire them for her own son's wedding no matter the cost.”
