At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Growing up, I spent hours looking at family photos, studying the faces of friends and loved ones. I read the hand written notes on the back of the pictures and I was taken back to the exact moment the photograph was taken.
