“We had our wedding in the Cellar room at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Arlington Heights, and it was everything we dreamed. The room is truly fantastic because it sits downstairs away from the rest of the restaurant for a truly private event. Additionally, the room includes a large bar and even a small dance floor. We worked well with the event planning team who made us feel supported, valued, and at ease during what can be an overwhelming planning process. The food was absolutely phenomenal. It was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with perfect timing. The delivery of restaurant-quality dining for a wedding is truly impressive. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was from start to finish. The service was outstanding as well. The staff was attentive without ever feeling intrusive, extremely professional, and incredibly organized. Everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to enjoy every moment without a single worry. One of the things that meant the most to us was how flexible and accommodating they were with the décor. They allowed us to transform the space into a very elegant setting that perfectly matched our vision. Every detail, from the color palette to the floral and candle arrangements, was able to shine because they gave us the space and freedom to design the atmosphere we wanted. “Where do I begin? Chicago Winery was everything we could have asked for and more. My husband and I toured nearly a dozen wedding venues throughout Chicago, and while each had something we liked, none checked every box until we found Chicago Winery. From the moment we submitted an inquiry, we knew we were in good hands. We received a response almost immediately and were able to schedule a call with their Sales Manager, Lindsay, later that same day. During our conversation, she took the time to understand our vision, guest count, priorities, budget, and the overall atmosphere we hoped to create. She also shared available dates within our preferred timeframe and thoughtfully recommended having one or two dates in mind if we were seriously considering the venue. A few days later, we toured Chicago Winery and were welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine. By the end of the tour, we were completely sold and booked our wedding date that same day. The venue is absolutely stunning, but what truly stood out was the professionalism, warmth, and organization of the team. Throughout the planning process, we had access to the event management team whenever questions came up. About three months before our wedding, we were introduced to our Event Manager, Hulda, and attended our tasting. Chicago Winery prepares every item on their menu for couples to sample—from passed hors d'oeuvres and salads to entrées, sides, desserts, and of course, their wines. They host tastings with all the couples getting married around the same time, which made for such a fun and unique experience. It was exciting to meet other couples and share in the wedding planning journey together. Hulda was absolutely phenomenal. She provided an incredibly detailed planning document that covered everything from food and beverage selections to vendor information, ceremony details, music, décor, and timeline logistics. She was consistently responsive, patient, and helpful whenever we had questions. About six weeks before the wedding, we met for our final walkthrough, where we reviewed the timeline, discussed logistics, and incorporated her recommendations to ensure the day flowed seamlessly. On our wedding day, everything exceeded our expectations. The venue recommends holding the rehearsal once the bridal party arrives, which worked perfectly and kept the day running efficiently. They welcomed us with champagne and a beautiful charcuterie spread in the bridal suite, which was such a thoughtful touch before the festivities began. From guest arrival—where everyone was greeted with passed wine—to the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner service, and reception, the entire event team kept everything running effortlessly. We never had to worry about what came next because they were always one step ahead. Their coordination allowed us to truly be present and enjoy every moment of the day. Our guests are still talking about how incredible the venue was. We received countless compliments on the ambiance, the attentive service, and especially the food, which exceeded everyone's expectations. Chicago Winery delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish and made the wedding planning process feel far less overwhelming than we ever expected. Choosing Chicago Winery was one of the best decisions we made. Every member of the team genuinely cared about making our day special, and we couldn't be more grateful. “Bottom Line Up Front: Hidden Creek Estates (HCE) did an amazing job with my wife and I’s wedding. Easy to work with, hard-working, flexible, and transparent from a pricing perspective. Alyssa - I cannot say enough good things about you. You truly made our day special. Overall, I cannot thank the HCE staff enough for a wonderful wedding and overall weekend. ESPECIALLY ALYSSA. Alyssa worked so hard to make everything perfect. She deserves the world for her efforts. From the beginning they won us over during our in depth venue search. Their hospitality, transparency, and work ethic showed through during every step. Prep: Leading up to the big day tastings, planning calls, and impromptu meetings were easy with this stellar team. My wife and I were hard to schedule with at times due to our work schedules and they made every event work for us. On property stays: the on property housing is beautiful. Great place for family, wedding parties, and more! Vendors: Their vendor list was amazing and well priced providing plenty of options. They also worked with vendors we brought in quite well. Ceremony: we did both our ceremony and reception on site. During our wedding we had a rain forecast and they worked with us til the very last minute to give us every opportunity to do the ceremony either inside or outside. We opted to go outside, and they made it work. Wiped down chairs, umbrellas, even plastic stoppers to go over the ladies heels to walk better in the rain. Cocktail hour/Dinner: Moving into cocktail hour, we adjusted our timing to perfectly fit our rain delayed day. Cocktail hour was great with the apps we picked landing well with our guests. Delicious options, it was quite hard to choose. Moving into dinner we had a few last minute changes that they worked hard to accommodate (FOB bringing in opera singer). Food was great at dinner as well and came out quickly and succinctly. Reception: Dance floor and bar were wonderful. We had a great party to end our wedding day. The DJ (Brent from Luxe productions) was on their known vendor list and he closed the party down perfectly. We wish we could do it all again.
