“Lake Lanier Islands was hands down the best wedding venue we could have dreamed of! The setting was absolutely stunning, with unreal, breathtaking views that made us feel like we had the entire islands reserved just for our special day. The natural beauty of the venue, combined with its spacious and serene atmosphere, created a truly magical experience for us and all of our guests. The staff at Lake Lanier Islands went above and beyond in every way, but we especially want to give the highest praise to Fernando Saenz, our incredible Wedding & Social Events Sales Manager. Fernando was nothing short of a lifesaver. He worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect, responding to every email and call within minutes—no matter the time. He was so kind, supportive, and incredibly organized, handling coordination with every vendor and anticipating our needs with unmatched dedication. Our wedding simply would not have gone off without him, and his exceptional care is a huge reason our day was so flawless. The food was phenomenal—truly the best wedding cuisine we’ve ever tasted! The staff, particularly at Sidney’s Restaurant and throughout our reception, provided the warmest, most attentive service. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how well they were treated and the outstanding experience from the moment they arrived to the time they left. We also have to highlight the front desk staff, who went above and beyond in making our guests feel so welcomed. They happily passed out our goody bags and were incredibly accommodating with early and late checkouts, ensuring everyone had a smooth, enjoyable stay. The golf carts were a massive hit, making transportation around the islands so much fun and convenient. The staff even went out of their way to meet guests or assist with returning the carts. With guests staying across all three locations—the Lodge, the Villas, and the LakeHouses—everyone was blown away by the beautiful accommodations. And our honeymoon suite? It was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect escape after our unforgettable celebration. A huge, heartfelt thank you to Fernando, the front desk team, and the entire Lake Lanier Islands staff for making our wedding so extraordinary. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue, and we will forever cherish the memories of that beautiful day!”

“I cannot recommend The Willows Farm enough! From the first moment we met Amy, she showed nothing but kindness and passion for our entire wedding vision. Her full wedding planning service made the process so much easier and less stressful for me and my husband. As soon as we arrived, Amy and her team were there to help unload vehicles and help take our things to where it all needed to go. They were very accommodating when it came to last-minute changes and the few hiccups we had throughout the day. Amy and her team dealt with the set up and break down of the entire event, along with personal things we brought for the day of. The decor closet was massive and had plenty to pick from. Everything they did was absolutely beautiful and better than I had ever imagined. I love how I was able to pick my own vendors or from the venues’ preferred vendors list to create the day that I had always envisioned. Using outside vendors was a seamless process, and Amy quickly answered any questions my vendors had or that I had throughout the entire planning process. I used several of her preferred vendors, including Amberly with Into the Embers photography, Watson Wedding Videography, Events by Dezine catering and Southern Events Designs (Amy’s Floral Company). You can tell the vendors are used to working with one another and have a clear understanding of each other. The florals Amy made for my wedding were absolutely beautiful and better than my inspiration photos. Our guests kept talking about how good the food was and how beautiful the venue was. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. If you want an all inclusive , stress-free, and an absolutely stunning venue, please go check out The Willows Farm!! You will not regret it!”

“Y’all… when I say this is the most beautiful and perfect wedding venue, I am not exaggerating. I am a yapper. I have absolutely zero issue sitting here and writing a THESIS on how perfect this venue is, but I also understand that nobody wants to read my 47 page dissertation, so I’ll summarize it with this: There is NOTHING I would have wanted different from this venue. The venue itself is stunning. Literally breathtaking. Every single space is gorgeous and thoughtfully designed, and I am still in awe that we got to have our wedding in a place this beautiful. The accommodations are incredible. Whether it’s the plethora of amazing Airbnb and lodging options nearby, the information provided by the venue, or the decor and items available onsite, everything they offer is genuinely invaluable. They have thought of SO many things that make planning and actually enjoying your wedding day easier. And the owners, Jess and Jody… literal saints. They are wonderful, beautiful humans who have curated such a special space. They have laid everything out in such a clear and direct way that you always know exactly what to expect, what is included, and what they bring to the table. There were never any mystery fees or confusing surprises. They are transparent, organized, and genuinely want you to have the best day possible. Y’all… and the BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. I was genuinely flabbergasted at how affordable this venue is considering EVERYTHING it offers. You get an absolutely gorgeous mountain venue, accommodations, decor, resources, incredible accessibility, vendor coordination, and so much more. It is an insane value. And the accessibility still astounds me. We got married on the top of a LITERAL MOUNTAIN, and my grandmothers were able to enjoy our entire wedding day without having mobility issues. That is something that meant so much to us, and it is entirely thanks to the way Jess and Jody designed and maintained this venue. The onsite accommodations are splendid. The way the venue coordinates with vendors is absolutely impeccable. Everything just WORKS. And then there’s the fact that Jess PARTIED WITH US. She stayed late into the night, was right there celebrating with us, and helped make our reception feel less like we were at a venue and more like we were celebrating with friends. The fact that there is NO END TIME meant our party kept going until 4 AM, and our guests are STILL talking about how late into the night the celebration lasted. Our wedding day was beyond perfect, and Nantahala Weddings played such a huge part in making it that way. We could not be more grateful that we chose this venue, and we genuinely cannot wait to continue using it as our go to spot for family portraits and special occasions in the future. So, if you’ve made it to the end of this and you’re STILL wondering whether you should consider Nantahala Weddings for your wedding, let me make the decision easier: TAKE A GANDER AT OUR PICTURES. That should probably tell you everything you need to know. ️”

What's the Average Cost for Wedding Venues in Georgia?

Wedding venues in Georgia typically run about $6,399 which makes up roughly 14% of your total wedding budget. That's actually a pretty good deal when you compare it to the national average of $6,500-$12,000 where venues eat up about 25% of total wedding costs. Your total wedding budget in Georgia will grow as your guest list does. With 50 guests you're looking at around $19,646 while 100 guests pushes that to $32,489. Hosting 150 people? Budget about $44,564. For 200 guests expect to spend around $55,360 and for 250 you'll need approximately $66,155. Those planning a big celebration with 300 guests should set aside about $76,951. These figures help you plan realistically based on the celebration size you envision.

Which Georgia Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

Culinary-focused venues across Georgia deliver exceptional dining experiences your guests won't forget. Ecco in Midtown Atlanta has earned national recognition for its seasonal European cuisine with a cosmopolitan flair that food-loving couples appreciate. If Italian speaks to your heart, Pacci Italian Kitchen in Savannah serves authentic Southern Italian dishes made from the freshest ingredients that will transport you straight to the Mediterranean. Elevation Chophouse & Skybar in Kennesaw offers unique menu options prepared with fresh ingredients while Vic's on the River in Savannah provides elegant receptions with stunning views paired perfectly with refined cuisine. The Foxglove in Marietta really stands out when it comes to including guests who can't attend in person. Their sophisticated technology allows remote participants to interact through synchronized lighting effects and dedicated Q&A sessions that make distance feel less significant. You can involve up to 350 remote guests in ways that go well beyond simple video streaming; they've created systems that make your distant loved ones feel truly part of your celebration with personalized touchpoints throughout the event. This approach transforms the experience from passive watching to active participation, especially meaningful for those important people who simply can't make the journey.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Georgia?

Accessible venues are available throughout Georgia to ensure all your guests can celebrate comfortably. Willow Creek Farm offers fully handicap accessible facilities with flat terrain that eliminates mobility concerns. You'll find Lilly Creek Farm combines rustic charm with thoughtfully designed wheelchair-accessible facilities including private restrooms and plenty of natural light to create a welcoming environment. When you're selecting your venue, it's always best to directly confirm specific accessibility features that matter most to your guests; things like ramps, elevators, accessible parking spots and bathroom accommodations vary widely between properties even when they claim to be fully accessible.

How Far in Advance Should You Book a Georgia Wedding Venue?

Most Georgia couples start their venue search about 13 months before their wedding date with November being the busiest month for inquiries. If you've got your heart set on a popular venue, especially for weekend dates during fall or spring, you'll want to move quickly. Georgia's peak wedding seasons run April through June and September through November when the weather is most cooperative. Popular venues during these prime times often book up 12-18 months in advance so starting early gives you the best chance at securing your dream location without having to compromise on your preferred date.

What Makes Georgia Venues Unique?

Georgia venues beautifully incorporate regional culture through distinctive experiences you won't find elsewhere. Many properties lovingly preserve their architectural details while offering all the modern amenities you'd expect. You'll discover farm-to-table menus featuring Georgia peaches and Vidalia onions alongside transformed industrial spaces with locally-crafted furnishings that tell a story. What makes Georgia venues truly special is how they blend that famous Southern tradition with contemporary style, creating settings that feel both timeless and fresh. Your guests will experience authentic Southern hospitality while enjoying spaces designed to create the perfect backdrop for your once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
