LEMON & TULIPS
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Starts at $65 per arrangement
  • Serves Abbot, ME

Here is a very short story how I got into the floral industry. In 2015 I got in an accident where I cracked my skull and had to have brain surgery/tbi. I was not able to work for months, my vision was sensitive, my taste was gone, my balance was off whack, I had temporary aphasia and thinking would exhaust me physically. With all this, I had to go to neuro rehab and 'retrain my brain'. Color therapy; sight exercises. Smells; memory builder. Art; improves brain function. I then asked myself, 'what the hell career has all of this to help me?' Duh. Flowers. I got lucky because I fell in love with it

“Working with Lemon & Tulips was such a great experience from start to finish. Ali was incredibly responsive whenever we reached out with questions or concerns, which made the whole planning process feel smooth and stress-free. When our ceremony had to move inside due to rain, Ali jumped in to help us figure out the best solution and adjusted everything perfectly. The flowers she created were absolutely stunning, vibrant and eye catching in a way that had our guests talking about them all night. She really listened to what we wanted and brought our vision to life in a way we didn't even know was possible. We couldn't have asked for a better florist for our wedding day!”

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (110 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Abbot, ME

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
“I used flower moxie to do my florals for my wedding. Overall, I had a great experience. I completed a consult that helped me select the correct florals for my event, quantities, and recipes for my creations. The flowers were delayed by 1 day in delivery, and the delphinium were not able to be used. After sending a picture to flower moxie, they provided a full refund for that flower. The videos were helpful for the prep and my wedding party helped me build arrangements. It was a fun event for everyone to do together. I would highly recommend the consult!”

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (44 reviews)
  • Serves Abbot, ME

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“I’m so glad we went with the Faux Bouquets for our wedding florals. Everything was beautiful and nobody believed me when I said they weren’t live flowers. If you are worried about how they will look, DONT be!!! There is a great variety of flowers on their website and I am so happy with how everything turned out. If you are renting flowers, the return process is SO easy!”

“Working with Jen for our October 2025 wedding was AMAZING!! From the moment we sent in an online inquiry, Jen was attentive, responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly detail oriented. She got us set up with a project planning doc immediately, and she was SO patient with us even when we were annoyingly indecisive about our vision lol. She met with us via Zoom to answer all of our questions when we were struggling to finish the document (and she is just as thorough and helpful via Zoom as she is via email). Once we placed our final order, Jen was communicative and thorough about the process of what happened next in terms of pickup, payment, etc. When we picked up our flowers, we were ASTOUNDED by how beautiful they were. I mean, we knew they would be beautiful, but truly, WOW. Aside from bouquets & boutonnieres, we also got garlands to use as centerpieces for our guests’ farmhouse tables, as well as small wooden circle magnets with a flower on top (we wood burned the j c into them ourselves) to use as favors. And they all looked incredible. An employee at our venue said that our decor was “the best she’s ever seen this place look,” and a large part of our decor was these flowers. I cannot recommend Jen and Wood and Word Blooms ENOUGH!!! PS bouquet photo is from today (1/5/26)!! The longevity is insane!”

The Flower Spot
Rating: 5.0 (34 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $1,050
  • Serves Abbot, ME

The Flower Spot is a small floral studio in Richmond, Maine, owned and designed by Anne Clark. We work from the ground floor of a circa-1854 house on the Kennebec River — the same house that hosts intimate weddings out back. Anne designs every wedding herself. No account manager, no template package menu, no upsell script. You tell her what you love — a color, a photo, your grandmother's garden — and she builds outward from there. Bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arches, aisle florals, centerpieces, cake flowers, and installations. Whether it's one bouquet or every table in the room, the care is exactly the same.

“I Loved all of the floral arrangements. Just what I wanted. They did outstanding with communications, details, everything. I loved everything. Thank you for everything!! Highly recommend! Got many reviews/comments from the guests”

The Flower Dude

I'm Don Clark. I run The Flower Dude, a studio wedding florist in Portland, Maine. Studio means no retail shop, and that's the point. Instead of a cooler full of roses that flew up from Miami last week, I work from three gardens in Cape Elizabeth and Kennebunk — so from June through late September, your flowers are cut the morning you get married. I arrange everything myself, then deliver and set it up: bouquets, boutonnieres, arches, reception tables, all of it. Personal and personalized.

“Don did an AMAZING job with our flowers for our wedding! He listened to all of our wants, needs, and inspirations, and brought our vision to life. We had a beautiful arch of greens for the ceremony with white flower accents, and calla lilies were peppered throughout the wedding and used for wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres. There is nothing Don and The Flower Spot can't do!! You'd be remiss if you didn't choose them for your special event.”

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. I love flowers, but we couldn't justify spending hundreds or thousands on real flowers to throw them away in a week when we also found out we were expecting our first child at the same time. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. No side hustle here! You will have my undivided attention. I'll make sure your floral dreams come to life in wood and the best part, they LAST FOREVER!

“Working with Naomi for our wedding florals was a DREAM and an exceptional experience from start to finish. We cannot recommend her and her team at Nectar and Vessel highly enough to other couples getting married. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Naomi and her team and giving her complete creative freedom. She took that freedom, and spun floral magic into the most beautifully designed space we have ever seen. Her love for florals, and for creating beautiful moments for others shines in her work - and isn’t that what you want on your wedding day? To be surrounded by love through flowers that all your guests can feel? That’s the magic Naomi brings to weddings that is impossible to replicate. The floral designs and artistry that Naomi and her team created for our day were simply stunning. Beyond being beautiful, they were unique and felt personal to us. It was the talk of the wedding that none of the guests had ever seen a display like the florals at our wedding, and that each tablescape and design felt like a work of art. A few things additional things about working with N&V we’d like to highlight: Design and vision: Naomi not only executed a vision for our wedding florals and design, she shaped it from the very beginning. The proposal powerpoint was a detailed mood board of not only the florals, but the overall vibe and design for the wedding. For the bride or groom, like me, who was overwhelmed with how to make a wedding feel cohesive, personal, and intentionally designed, trust in Naomi to help jump start that process and hire her as one of your early vendors. Flawless logistics and professionalism: Working with N&V was completely stress free because Naomi and her team are true professionals. She was respectful of our budget, had a clear, well-structured contract, and payment through her professional portal was incredibly easy. Everything was delivered, set-up, and cleaned up flawlessly and on-time. Importantly, if there were any issues day-of, we didn’t hear about it or take on any of that stress (though with her careful planning, I bet there weren’t any fires to put out!) While these sound like boring logistics, all of this professional preparation on N&V’s part saved us a ton of time and stress wedding planning. Positivity and good energy: Naomi herself is the warmest and most effusively positive person - that was clear from our very first consultation call with her and was even more true on the day of our wedding. We felt showered in positivity throughout our experience working with her, which is exactly what you want on your big day! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Nectar and Vessel, and specifically, Naomi and her wonderful team. Hire her early, trust her to work her magic and give her all the creative control, and then watch your wedding venue transform. “It's hard to put into words how talented and wonderful Tess was to work with. When we first connected, I was immediately drawn to her vision, how collaborative it felt she was, and how she was willing to work with me on planning a less traditional wedding weekend. Aside from some very general direction, I really gave her creative freedom to do what she thought would be best, and then her first proposal exceeded anything I could've imagined so it was a no brainer to work with her. The year of working together was just as great as that first interaction—she is extremely organized and detailed, takes initiative to handle things that were able to be taken off of my plate, and is just clearly so passionate about what she does, and that is reflected in her work. During the wedding weekend, she and her team took on tasks that were outside of what they should've been handling, but did what they thought needed to be done to make my life easier and to make the vision come to life. I was so grateful to have her around for the weekend. But above all of that, the flowers were absolutely incredible. I can't tell you the number of people—both who were at the wedding and who weren't even there—that approached me or reached out to me to tell me they were the most gorgeous flowers that they had ever seen. There wasn't a single person who wasn't blown away by them, my husband and I included!! Long story short.. work with Tess. You won't be disappointed.”

I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

Milkweed Floral Co.
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Serves Abbot, ME

Hi! I’m Iris, the mind, body, and soul behind Milkweed! As a lot of dad’s like to joke, my name must be a birthright into floristry. In all honesty, it really has been a constant thread throughout my life. From picking flowers in my mom’s garden, to working in a flower shop in Boston right after college, then tackling florals for my own wedding in 2021, and eventually freelancing for event florists around Maine - I fell head over heels for wedding florals!

Awarded Best of Zola
“Iris at Milkweed Design Co exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding in 2023! I love flowers and wanted a lot all over the venue, but I didn't specify know which ones I wanted. Iris created the perfect design that I was imagining but couldn't put into words myself. She suggested and constructed an elaborate show stopping floral installation on a tree welcoming guests to the venue and offering an unique backdrop for photos! The colors, textures, and attention to detail were perfection! Each arrangement completely transformed the space into something magical. It was clear how much care, creativity, and passion went into every aspect of Iris' work. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the flowers at the time, and to this day, it's the one thing everyone still brings up! If you’re looking for someone incredibly talented, hard-working, and thoughtful—someone who truly cares about her craft and the clients who trust her with one of the most important days of their lives—look no further!”
