Yugen Productions was founded as a creative company to take our business savvy background and our lust for creative arts to form a service based business. This idea became a reality on a 6000 mile round trip from Tennessee to California. It was on that trip I decided to launch Yugen Productions and begin chasing not only my vision, but fulfilling other peoples vision. To live during a time in human history where we have the resources to take peoples imaginations, create a moving image representative of that, and combine music, visual art, emotions, and a story is simply magical. We never lose sight of how amazing that concept truly is.

Kinda Edgy... Kinda Classy... Our Brand mimics the Mid Century Modern style and this is no accident. Visually we simply love it, but we love the feeling of nostalgia that era brings for so many people. Nostalgia is a powerful thing and we brand ourselves on chasing that feeling. You may stop and say why though? Isn't nostalgia a little sad? Well, a small part of it is, yes. But, it is also a sense of awe, it's happiness, it's sadness, it's mysterious, it's joy, it's simply what was. Weddings are a huge day filled with so much emotion. Our saying goes: "Today's Memories are Tomorrow's Nostalgia". Let us capture today, for tomorrow.

Description

This package has to be custom, so it's tough for us to give an accurate quote without first getting some details. We have filmed 1 hour elopements with just the couple, we've hiked to the top of a mountain and spent half a day with a couple, and we've had Micro Weddings in the national park with 40 guests. We find these types of weddings vary greatly and we want to make sure and get you a quote that fits what you're looking for!

The Couch

Description

This package is our most popular and is perfect for a full day wedding. Especially if you're at a wedding venue all day. This package includes a 7+ Minute Highlight Film or a Full Documentary edit. Highlight films are the popular story driven films. (Our Favorite) Documentary edits are kind of like the "Raw Footage" except edited. Think home movie, but shot in 4k.

The Sectional

Description

This is our most complete package. The big one! This is perfect for a wedding that has a few locations or a long invite list. Included is both the Highlight Film (10+ minutes) and the Documentary Edit. This includes all the moments and a polished story film. We also break out all of the speeches, ceremony, first dances, and any other major moments into their own individual edits.

Generally we take a “fly on the wall” approach most of the day. It’s our jobs to capture the day as it happens and tell that story in a captivating way. Poses work ok for photo, but video is different. It’s all about the movement and emotion. Those moments walking to meet your husband or wife… Walking down the aisle… Dancing and laughing and loving… Those moments make video so powerful and that’s exactly what we use to tell the story. So.. short of a few specific shots at sunset and getting ready we let you be you. So, 20 years from now when you’re watching your film with your partner you may look a little older, but you’ll recognize… YOU.
There is a reason we don’t take every opportunity presented to us to film. It starts by making sure those couples that we film for will be a good fit for our style. We’re focused on delivering the most amazing and comfortable wedding experience possible. We’re here to have fun with you, laugh with you, cry with you. We going to be close by pretty much all day, so it’s beyond important for us to make such a special day AMAZING! Oh! By the way… every single Yugen Productions Team member is local to East Tennessee. We know the level of quality you expect.. because we expect it from each other!
This may come as a surprise, but as of writing this every LGBTQ+ wedding inquiry to date has started with: “Do you film same sex couples…?” Yes.. Overwhelmingly, Absof*ckinglutly, 100% YES. This is extremely important to me and our team. Being asked this once was too many times, but it hit me just how real it is that couples may face this. We want to make certain our futures couples know they’re accepted and we’re ready to celebrate their love with them.
The day has came and the day has gone. You just got back from your honeymoon and you start thinking when will we get to watch our wedding film!?!?!? It’s a fair question and our inbox is always open. We don’t promise an exact date until that date is getting close. We’re filming a unique wedding, with unique partners, at a unique venue, which results in…. you guessed it! A unique wedding film. We never rush these edits because it takes time to build the story and work through the process. However! We do give you a window of expectation and communicate through the process! Our average turn around time is 2-3 months.
Music is such an important part of the video, the wedding day, the reception, the car ride too and from the wedding, the rehearsal dinner… you get the point. So, can you expect to have any interjection as to what music gets put on your wedding film? We say yes, but please know we follow all copyright laws and we cannot make miracles happen. If you want 24k Magic by Bruno Mars…. well, it might surprise you, but we have licensed it. It costs $79 to license. If you want a Taylor Swift song well those requests usually end up in a Blank Space :( But!! We’re not afraid of a challenge, so we’ll try! But if rejected we’ll just have to Shake It Off.
